really nice roomPosted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: the room was comfortable. We had a two room suit, 1st room had a sofa and table and chairs. The other room had a king size bed. TV in each room.
Cons: would like bar soap instead of liquid soap dispenser in shower. My husband said he will bring his own next time
We were there only one night, but it was really nice.

Great pet friendly motel.Posted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: Great pet friendly facility with convenient caged in dog-run.
Cons: Clean the upholstery, improve TV programming reception (all the local channels were static)
Location: Centrally located, close to hwy entrance, and many restaurants and shopping nearby
We had to take care of some personal business in Santa Maria for a few days, and we didn't want to board our dog....so we brought her along and this motel had the most convenient caged in dog-run right outside the back sliding glass door. The pet friendly room was large, clean, quiet, good water pressure, and comfortable...though nothing fancy at all. The only thing that concerned me was the stains on the sofa, we laid a towel down before we sat on the sofa...probably from the many children that have stayed and spilled. Other than that, it was priced well, served it's purpose, and a very economical place to stay. If I didn't have a pet, I'd probably stay at a little nicer place with more amenities like room service, etc. Everyone was very nice, and we had a nice stay.

Better than expectedPosted Mar 3, 2014
It's right next to freeway, but I have not heard any noise at all. Overall, it was a very nice stay. Great bed, clean room, nice breakfast. I do recommend.

Dissapointing.Posted Feb 18, 2014
This was our second time staying at the Oxford Suites. The first time was very pleasant so we decided to stay again. Our stay began with the person at the front desk chastising us for booking thru a third party. He "highly encouraged" us to book direct for the better deal. We were given a room on the bottom floor near the freeway. I would consider this section the "animal" section of the hotel as there were several dogs in the rooms adjacent to us. We were kept awake by barking dogs, the sound of the freeway and the birds outside. Walking to the room we had to walk thru a cloud of cigarette smoke. Our room was a non smoking room but the outside smoke was bothersome. The breakfast was dissapointing. We were well within the serving time for breakfast but it was definitly picked over. Upon checkout, we were AGAIN asked to book direct. We will never stay here again.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful experience!Posted Feb 18, 2014
When we arrived to the hotel to check in, the staff was incredibly friendly and upgraded our room for no extra charge to a balcony suite. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable which was such a pleasant surprise. We loved it and would stay there again 100%.

Expected more for what I paid for.Posted Feb 16, 2014
Cons: Change the couch for goodness sake.
Location: Near the freeway.
I paid $155 thru Expedia. I expected a little more than what I got. The room smelled old and must as I soon as we stepped in. The couch (that folds into a bed) was pretty filthy. Unfortunately, the room wasn't refundable. It was a couple of miles from the beach. I don't recommend it at all.

Never disappointedPosted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: beautiful, clean room, grounds breakfast, drink tickets, pool, hot tub.
For the price, we expected mediocre at best! We were pleasantly surprised at the room and the grounds, they are very pretty and inviting. Loved having the full breakfast and drink tickets! I've stayed three times now, and will most likely continue to stay at Oxford Suites anytime I visit Pismo. I feel confident recommending this hotel to anyone. Love this place!

Easy access from highway and friendly staffPosted Feb 8, 2014
Pros: Good price with unexpected bonus of complimentary extras. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Can't really think of anything.
Location: Easy short drive to beach and pier. Only passing through so didn't go exploring further.
Friendly staff at reception. Complimentary drinks at 5.30pm plus complimentary soup and salad from 5.30 to 7.30pm. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed, room good size and very clean. Dog friendly place but non dog lovers don't be put off as they are not roaming through guest areas.

The breakfast was outstanding. The staff friendly. You had 2 free drinks with snacks in the evening also. We were very happy with our choice.
