Beautiful views with great room sizes! It was very handicap accessible for my mom who is wheelchair bound. Has great amenities where we BBQed with a view!

Walls are thin between rooms! You hear it all. Beds are old, lumpy, smelly. Soon as I got there, they tried to talk me into a membership which was annoying but I liked the magazine they gave me & map of the town. I liked the views from hotel. The town is cute.

Rooms severely outdated. Repair and modernization needed, no housekeeping within stay, no food/dining options in hotel. Elevator extremely slow, understaffed.

Our suite was very nice. The bed was just ok. The staff really pushed for us to go to a time share meeting, which we didn’t like. Also our beautiful suite overlooked a huge flat roof. Terrible view!

Thank you for your feedback. We will have someone look into the mattress and see if it's ready to be changed out. Unfortunately not all of our rooms have the ocean view but we try our best to get as many guests the best view we can based on occupancy.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The view was spectacular, and the sunsets/sunrise was breathtaking! Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops and the beach. Would definitely come back!

I would give it 5 stars, but the hot tub wasnt hot enough, about 93-4 degrees. Geogeous views! Wonderful stay for families and couples. The game room is large and fun!

The units are great, clean, with a nice kitchen and bath. Beds are comfy. Walls can be thin but not terrible. What is bad is the 4pm checkin and 10am checkout and mandatory $33 resort fee. Gimme a break. You have no time to play golf or tennis or use the pool in that timeframe yet you are billed no matter. Outrageous. And they wouldn’t extend the 10am checkout. Just beware what you are getting

I'm so sorry for your experience. The resort fee is a mandatory fee charged to all our hotel guests. We truly hope you come back and stay a few nights where you can really enjoy the amenities of the property.

This property is consistently clean & comfortable. It's not super-luxury, but we love the views, the walking route on the beach, the pier, and proximity to San Luis Obispo & Morro Bay. Rooms are well cared for and clean, staff is very helpful and responsive.

Get away long weekend to Avila Beach
As this is a vacation club, not a typical hotel, you are charged a resort fee which I knew in advance. Amenities included a swimming pool, child pool, fitness center, pool table, foosball table, large chess/checkers, shuffleboard and cornhole set. Everything was clean and in working order. The room was well organized and clean. Had a full kitchen stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc. Had a stove, microwave and refrigerator. The bed was comfortable and clean. Only complaint was the couch was not comfortable. Since we were there only 2 nights, there was no room cleaning. Overall we had a great stay at this location and would definitely stay there again.

Everything was very good. Especially enjoyed the outdoor plantings that attracted many many Monarch butterflies. Saw more butterflies at the Inn than the Pismo Beach Monarch butterfly sanctuary. Only negative was the very low toilet seat in our bathroom. Tough getting off it with weak knees.

Everyone was SO nice and helpful. Greeted you anytime you walked in the lobby. Beautiful grounds, views from the lawn outside. Games for the kids- life sized chess was a hit. The only negative (which won’t deter me from coming back) is it’s a little outdated- carpet, fixtures. We will be back!!

Hidden Gem
It was a great surprise about this facility which has operated by Hilton Vacation Club about a year. (We didn’t know of course…). We had a studio with a balcony. The room came with a very spacious bathroom and a full kitchen which we didn’t expect at all. The view of Avila beach town and a partial ocean view from our balcony was very beautiful. We had about 2 weeks vacation starting from Monterey to Hermosa Beach this time so Avila Beach was just for a night before driving down to Los Olivos/ Solvang. We really wished we could stay longer. We felt that we found a hidden gem. We were told that the closest airport would be San Luis Obispo about 20-30 minutes away, now we are planning for a minimum 1 week vacation within a few months! Highly recommended and you won’t be disappointed.
