OK

Rooms were decent but I would not walk bare foot on those carpets. Bathrooms are old but clean. The beds were decent.

Great Value

Posted Dec 29, 2011
We stayed here one night while passing through SLO. We checked in around midnight, and the man checking us in was very courteous though we had woken him up (regular desk hours end at 10 pm...after that, you ring the "night bell," and someone will come out to help you). It's an older, no frills motel, but the room was large, clean and comfortable. Definitely a great value for the price!

Villa Motel in San Luis Obispo

Smelly room. I sprayed my body splash (spray) all over the room to cover up the odor. The hotel clerk (and the only person at the premise) was not only unfriendly but very unprofessional. On the second morning, he asked me, "you don't need your room cleaned, do you?" I asked where the breakfast was and was told to go back to my room and make my own coffee. The morning I checked out, I found him sitting outside in a chair waiting for me to vacate the room, which made me feel very uncomfortable. It's ironic that the worse hotel experience I had in California was in a city Oprah called, "the happiest city in the US." There was no sense of hospitality. The only good thing about this hotel was the location.
