"Very convenient for all the main sights and attrac"
A very warm welcome from all the reception staff who are always willing to help with checking restaurant availability, travel advice and general information. A lovely big room which was very clean, modern and well equipped. A basic but perfectly adequate breakfast and a helpful smiling waiter. What more could one want so close to all the most interesting sights, nearest Vaporetto and loads of places to eat and drink! Compared to other hotels this is very reasonable value for money in Venice.

Pocket Guide: San Marco, Venice Historic Hotels

San Marco (St Mark’s) is quintessential visitors’ Venice. The Piazza San Marco, famous for its pigeons, campanile, basilica, Palazzo Ducale (Doge’s Palace) and expensive cafes, is unmissable. The waterfront views are legendary and more gondolas depart from here than anywhere else in the city. In season the Piazza teems with day trippers though just a block or two away streets are quiet and offer more museums and palaces to explore.
