"Nice, clean hotel - good price"
I work for a luxury hotel, so my standards are pretty high, although my budget does not allow that standard for a week long vacation! I researched hotels within the San Marcos area that would work within my price range and came upon this one. It was a great choice! It was clean (housekeeping did a great job every day) and the beds comfortable - especially the pillows. Wi-FI is complimentary, the pool was clean and sparkling every day and the staff friendly. It was really nice during the midweek time period as it was a bit quieter. We arrived on Saturday and it was packed, but after that - it was great. I highly recommend this hotel for the price and quality.

"Beautiful Bed and Breakfast with a Great Staff"
Stayed here overnight during a trip to Wimberley, Tx. I was surprised at how beautiful the home was. The staff was extremely friendly and would go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable. My girlfriend and I plan on staying again soon. What a great getaway.

"Convenient Location"
I was commuting back and forth to Austin, TX and it was a convenient location to stay. All I needed was a place to sleep, a small refrigerator, wi-fi, and a quiet atmosphere. This motel provided that.

"Good hotel for location"
We were part of the first weekend in service. There were still little glitches to be dealt with but over all a good hotel. Front desk staff still needed training. Everything was very slow and no one seemed to be quite in charge of the desk. Pillows on beds were super hard. Disappointed not to have the lobby coffee or fruit water we are used to at the Marriott. Coffee in rooms was low grade.

Pocket Guide: Austin San Marcos Independent Hotels

Between Austin and San Antonio, San Marcos knows how to whoop it up. Locals often point to Texas State University as party central, but geography plays a role in the town’s reputation. Each summer, heat-weary Texans go tubing at the San Marcos River, known for its constant 72-degree waters. San Marcos is also known for its outlet malls, which are among the largest shopping complexes in America.
