The hotel is great and offers quite a list of amenities for comfort and entertainment - beachfront location, several pools, billiards tables, wifi, basic spa services (massages, exfoliation, and facials), a bar, and access from the grounds to walking trails in the Santa Clara forest it borders. They also have optional tours of the forest, jet skiing, quad riding, kayaking, etc., which I did not look into while there. Because it is built right into the forest (rooms built around trees, for example), there is a decent level of privacy on the grounds, as well as hammocks, and some animals, kind of like a zoo. You can have food and drink from the restaurant/bar delivered to you anywhere on the grounds, without having to carry cash, as they keep a tab associated with your room that you settle at the end of your visit. The staff is really friendly and accommodating, although I do speak Spanish, which helped with communication. It's only about 20-25 minutes from the airport, so it was my last stop on the way out of the country, and I wholeheartedly recommend this place if you are just looking for a place to relax for a few days.

I was coming under difficult circumstances - I had an unexpected detour into El Salvador enroute to Honduras for a month-long medical mission trip. I was a single woman from the US, and felt fearful because I did not know Spanish, and had to get to a hotel by myself at night. The hotel provided me with a secure transport to and from the airport (for a fee), helped me with my two huge bags to and from my room, and had someone to translate when it came time to talk about the bill. My room was very clean and the perfect temperature, the bed was comfortable, and I slept well. I was also able to eat breakfast even though I had to leave 15 minutes before the breakfast was served. Every one was very helpful. Even though the hotel was 50 minutes from the airport, I was glad I choose this hotel.

"Clean, comfortable, secure and great breakfasts!"
We stayed a couple of nights here and were impressed by the cleanliness and modern nature of the hotel. A couple of the staff members spoke English and were happy to organise taxis for us. Breakfasts were free and delicious. We felt very safe, and there was a security guard in front of the hotel 24/7. Would certainly recommend.

This is a cute boutique hotel in the heart of the Zona Rosa with great proximity to excellent restaurants, museums and bus stations. The day desk manager Jose was especially helpful and took time to help me with everything! His assistance was invaluable. The entire staff there was welcoming and helpful and the lobby was cute with a little garden on the side. The breakfast was very good and included in the price of the room.
(Jose helped me to set up a tour of the Hospital Maternidad in San Salvador. His wife works at the Banco de Leche or Milk Bank in the hospital there and I was able to tour the NICU and level II nurseries as well. I am a neonatal RN and a lactation consultant so was very interested in seeing this hospital. The neonatalogists and nurses at this hospital work very hard to provide the best care they can with limited resources. I came to El Salvador to visit a child I have sponsored through World Vision. Jose helped me by calling and confirming pick up times, essentially translating for me. His assistance was invaluable.) When I return to El Salvador I will definitely stay at the Hotel Villa Florencia Zona Rosa again!

I have stayed at this hotel before and was very pleased the first time. There are no security concerns, its gated, & visitors are screened. The staff are friendly and availible to listen to your concerns may they be about the hotel or places to go and how to get there.
The rooms are spacious, clean with very comfortable beds. Water pressure is fine and television reception is like at home.

I just stayed 4 nights at this hotel. No problem with my reservation and prepaid fare through Expedia. The place lived up to its promise. The room was clean, no bugs, and all utilities (tv, hot water, air conditioner) worked. The staff was friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was cooked and served promptly by a humbly nice maid. The staff also arranged in advance for a trusted taxi driver to pick me up at sunrise on my last day to take me to the airport. I will definitely plan to stay there on my next trip to San Salvador.
