Best-in-class hotel, conveniently locatedPosted Sep 4, 2013
Pros: first class property that accepts dogs
Location: Very central to both the two main beaches (San Sebastian and Gros) as well as the old city where all the Pintxos bars are.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. All spoke clear English. Hotel has all the amenities. Modern room. Very accomodating for my newborn son and dog who were traveling with me and my wife. Very central to both the two main beaches (San Sebastian and Gros) as well as the old city where all the Pintxos bars are. Would only stay at this hotel if/when I return to San Sebastian

Wonderful hotel very close to the Old TownPosted Aug 25, 2013
I took my girlfriend to this hotel for a long weekend away. The hotel was very impressive, excellent staff and the room was perfect. Short walk away from the beach and the pintxos bars of the old town. The only drawbacks (considering the price) were breakfast not being included and the lack of hotel parking. There is a public car park opposite the hotel with a day rate of 38 euros.

Beautiful expensive gem of a hotelPosted Jul 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
A beautiful palace on the banks of the river, only minutes from the best pintxos (tapas) in the old town (reception gives out a fabulous pinxtos map!) and very near La Concha beach and La Zurriola beach. Beautiful rooms and luxurious bathrooms. Incredible and caring staff at reception. Great gym but no pool or jacuzzi. Fabulous place for a romantic weekend!

Luxury without soulPosted Jun 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
I decided to lash out for my 65th bday and stay here on a long awaited trip to San Sebastián. The location is perfect on the edge of the old town between the river and the bay and by the good shops. It's a Belle Époque type hotel, newly renovated to a stunning standard. Our room was large and comfy with a proper hotel bathroom in marble glass and steel. However the public rooms although beautiful lacked a relaxed feel. The breakfast room was airy and light, again beautifully decorated but the food was ordinary for this class. The service here was poor for 5*, with trainees rather than pros. Orders forgotten although friendly. I wouldn't stay here again for the price although if just a couple of nights it might be a luxury treat! There are plenty of other places with more soul.

Splendour in San SebastianPosted May 5, 2013
Pros: The staff were so thoughtful and kind!"
Location: So close to the beaches and old quarter; perfect for Pintxos crawls!
Wonderful hotel in a perfect location for San Sebastian. I have never encountered more gracious or friendly staff at a hotel. They have redefined what customer service means to my wife and I. Beautiful hotel bar with excellent Gin and Tonics (all the rage in Spain, apparently!) Beautiful, recently renovated public spaces and a very large room (also recently renovated). We stayed in one with a view of the river, but we could also see the lovely ocean from our window. Nice library of classy Taschen books.

Superb!Posted Apr 22, 2013
The hotel is beautifully decorated as it was only done last year everything is very modern but keeping very elegant as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal at only a five minute walk from the old quarter where all the pinchos (tapas) bars are. I will come back every time I visit San Sebastian!

Pros: Elegance Hotel close to old city.
Cons: Room service car all day in front of room door.
Location: Best Hotel in San Sebastian.
Staff very professional, location great, the only detail the may improve is that they left the janitor car in the hall way every day
