It is close to the beach, but the hotel is ugly

It is close to the beach, but not attractive at all, the way it looks like it doesn't look like 4 star hotel at all

A Gem

Pros: The staff was very nice and it was located in a quiet, safe area (not that I found any area in San Sebastian to be unsafe).
Location: You can walk to the beach and on the walking path towards Concha beach where there are restaurants and things to see and do.
Very good experience at the hotel. Located approximately 3 blocks from the beach. Quiet location, friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, easy check in and easy check out. Very willing to provide you with information about the local scene. I would recommend and definitely stay at San Sebastian Hotel in the future. It is located in the Andorreta Beach area so it's not close to the restaurants and night life (although it is a nice walk and definitely doable). We had no problem and the view is spectacular on the walking path.

Very comfortable, great staff

Pros: The staff.
Location: Great if you don't want to be in the middle of the tourist area but still have access to it by walking along the beautiful beach.
My husband and I stayed there for one night and found the room very comfortable, and the staff great. The 2 individuals we dealt with at the front desk were very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. It made a great impression. The lady at the cafe was wonderful. I wish I remembered her name. We had coffee in the afternoon upon our arrival and went back there for dinner and had breakfast the next day. There was a major storm and we were hotel-bound but did not mind it. Very good food, great friendly service.

Pros: Close to the beach
Cons: Staff kindness and helpfulness ,garage , and definetely noise isolation
Location: Beach is close by. Comparibly quieter part of the bay
Noise from next door is terrible .the isolation simply does not exist .funny parking space .but good location.

We really liked our visit to San Sebastian. A splendid beach for those that want it. Lots of walks and plenty of History The hotel is located at the opposite end of San Sebastian from the old town. There are very few restaurants at this end and you will either have to eat in the Hotel or journey to the old town to find somewhere good to eat. On our first night we chose to dine at the hotel. The restaurant is a screened off area in the café/bar which is open to non residents. We were the only people in the restaurant but despite this the meal was good. The following night having walked all day we could not face the trek into the old town so decided to eat at the hotel again. We thought that we would eat in the café as there were a few people in there and a better atmosphere. Unfortunately if you are Ale Carte you have to eat in the restaurant. Silly rule but that's how it is. Unfortunately the meal this time was below average and we did not enjoy it. We wished we had made the effort to go into the old town

Good mid range hotel

Posted May 31, 2014
Pros: Clean , comfortable and quiet.
Cons: Breakfast a little expensive
Location: Beach very close. Walk along the bay to the old and new towns, good shopping, loads of bars and restaurants. People watching a fine art !
Hotels in San Sebastián are generally pricy. This hotel is reasonably priced, clean with helpful staff and pleasant rooms. It is located within easy reach of the beach but a walk away from the old town and the majority of the bars and restaurants. The walk for us was a pleasure taking in the views of the bay each morning. There is a bar/ restaurant attached , ideal for coffee , wine and snacks but not haute cuisine. Breakfast good but as so often in Spain rather expensive. Would certainly recommend and hope to go back.

Not the best

Posted May 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
There was no air conditioning during the time we stayed in May and the phone didn't work. There was no laundry service nor a iron to iron clothes. The t.v. In the room didn't work either. Over all not the best stay.
