Good location and good hotel.

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Location, facilities.
Cons: not sure.
Location: Close to old town and other activities like the beach.
This is a very good hotel for getting to know San Sebastian. It's also very convenient if you are driving as you have a good parking

Honeymoon in San Sebastian

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Location: San Sebastian is all about food. Go to the old city and pitxos bar-hop. Check out the Michelin restaurants. Take the open-top red bus city tour. Enjoy
We were in San Sebastian for 3 days in June, and we had a great time. Hotel Silken Amara was a 20 minute walk along the river from the old city, which was much needed after all the eating we did! For anyone who does not want to walk, there is a bus that stops right outside the hotel (we did not take it, but the hotel staff told us about it). Taxis are also easy to find. The hotel room was clean and a good amount of space for two people. Great value for the price we paid during peak tourist season. The food in San Sebastian is out of this world, with amazing pintxos bars, and wonderful Michelin-starred restaurants. We were lucky enough to book a table at Akelarre only a few weeks in advance. This is our favourite food city in the world!

Good hotel for price

Posted Jun 23, 2014
This is good hotel for the price. It is further out from downtown and all the sightseeing area. However, the bus stop is right outside the hotel and just shy of 10mins to get to get to downtown. Our room was was great .The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was big. Overall very happy with our stay.

Excellent hotel and easy to get around

Loved this hotel! Nice staff, willing to help. The room was clean and had plenty of space. Hotel restaurant was amazing! Ate there two nights in a row. Bus stop is a short walk down the road and only takes 10min into town. Highly recommend!

Dirty

Posted Jun 9, 2014
The furniture as well as the carpet had dirt stains all over. Extremely unclean, not what I expected for a hotel within this price range.

Good hotel 20 main walk to main attractions.

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Hotel was convenient being next to bus terminus and taxi rank. It was a good walk from the old part of the town and the beach (20mins). The staff were helpful and friendly except for one person in the cafe who did not appear to like tourists! However I would reccomend the hotel.

Nice views from our room windows

Posted Jan 6, 2014
Pros: We liked the friendly staff, and overall quality of the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable, and we rarely heard any noise outside our rooms.
Location: It's a fifteen minute walk to La Concha Bay, which is a picturesque area that is surrounded by many tourist attractions! Too many to list!
We had two rooms; one for us, and one for our children. The views from both rooms were spectacular. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable. On our floor, we had complimentary espresso, tea, and pastries daily. The hotel has a piano bar and a cafe, which gave us the extra space to relax after many long days of walking all day. The wifi worked great when we needed it. The desk clerks were very helpful and provided us with tourist maps of the area; they were fluent in at least three languages; Spanish, English, and French.
