We enjoyed our return stay. The place had been renovated since our last stay. There is now a wine/cheese get together at happy hour time in the lobby area verses a bottle of wine which was provided on our earlier stay. The room was a good size and comfortable. The location is great for any time strolls along the boardwalk.

Very Comfotable StayPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were overall pleased with our stay at this Inn. We wanted a nice family vacation and that`s exactly we got. Our room was clean and spacious, the house service was friendly and the front staff was helpful. You are walking distance to the water. We would come back and stay here again!

quiet indulgencePosted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: The location of the hotel is in a small quaint town by the shoreline. The hotel is close to the Hearst Castle, very interesting stop.
Cons: Ice machine to far, staff should offer to get it upon check-in.
Location: Hearst Castle. Walk along the shoreline. Good one to two day stop.
This hotel was a nice surprise. Small, clean and friendly staff by a quiet beautiful seaside view. Upon arrival we had complimentary wine and cheese, then took a walk along the shoreline. That evening, we slept with the balcony siding door open and heard the ocean and felt the cool breeze.

Very noisy, and breakfast was poorPosted Sep 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed for 1 night, just to allow us to tour Hearst early in the AM. We arrived just as they were serving some wine, which was a nice unexpected surprise. The room was clean, and looked to be recently updated. The staff were nice and friendly. They told us they were a sister hotel to some others, including the Fogcatcher Inn where we stayed a few times before. I tried to book us into the Fogcatcher again, but it was sold out so we booked here instead . The room overlooked the parking lot of the restaurant next door. The room was really hot, in the 80's - so we opened our windowsng, and was told it wasn't an option - and to open the windows. These rooms have no air conditioning. We endured a huge amount of noise as the restaurant was closing, with lots of garbage being hauled out, etc. just below our window. In the morning, about 6 AM, a garbage truck arrived and spent at least 30 minutes picking up the trash, all the while making tremendous noise. It was just not possible to sleep in this room. Also the breakfast was poor and minimal, it gets delivered to your room. Nothing hot, except coffee. No tables in the room so you eat on your bed. Really poor in my opinion compared to what we've experienced several times just down the road from the sister hotel. There we had no noise and a nice breakfast in a small restaurant like you would expect. Stay at the Fogcatcher instead.

What a serendipitous find.Posted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: The staff was excellent. When I asked the front desk staff for cream for my coffee, he brought it to the hot tub in a small metal pitcher!
Location: It is spectacularly located across the street from the ocean. It is only a few miles from the Hearst Castle.
We were looking for a place to spend the night between Sequoia National Park and the Big Sur. The seaside town of Cambria is charming with no chain restaurants or hotels. This gem of a small hotel is right across the street from the ocean. It has been recently renovated and the rooms were casually elegant and beautiful. There was a wine and cheese reception when we arrived, where we met some very interesting people from around the world. We enjoyed the hot tub with the open air roof and walking the boardwalk on the beach in the morning.

Just like having your home in front of the oceanPosted Aug 25, 2013
Cons: The breakfast served in the room limits the choices and is not always prompt
Location: Cambria has all the beauty and fashination of the other northern trendier locations with less fuss and more west flavour. You can surf, run, swim ...
very easy going beautifully located hotel. Nice complimenttary treats (all-day tea/coffee, afternoon cheese&wine). Quiet, overlooking the Ocean, well furnished rooms.

We had a very comfortable stay. We were driving along coast from L.A. to S.F. and decided to stay in Cambria for one night. We enjoyed our stay.

You can't go wrong with Cambria Landing InnPosted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness and friendly staff.
Location: Perfectly located. Just a few minutes from Hearst Castle. A few seconds from a lovely beach.
I got there very tired and late, and received a warm and friendly welcome that made all the difference in my day. The location is perfect with the beach just across the street. The room was sparkling clean and comfortable. Don't expect too much from the breakfast, which is very basic, but service was great. The nightly rate is a bit expensive for what you get, but the prices are pretty much in the same range in the area for a similiar offer. You can't go wrong with Cambria Landing Inn & Suites.
