The room had a great view of the ocean. The front attendant was super helpful giving us information with visiting the Hearst castle. We appreciated her tips for the trip.

Nice Location, Below Average Stay

Posted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: The location was beautiful, right by the beach.
Cons: Serve better wine in the evening and provide a full breakfast.
Location: There is a boardwalk along the beach and lots of restaurants and shops in the nearby town.
My wife and I stayed here for one night during a weekend road trip along the coast. Moonstone Beach in Cambria is a really nice place to spend the night, with an excellent ocean view and boardwalk and a quaint little town nearby. However, this particular inn was disappointing compared to other places along Moonstone Beach that we've stayed at in the past. It wasn't terrible but there were many details that when added together made for a below average experience. The room had a thermostat but it didn't seem to be functional. The only way to control the temperature was to open the window or turn on the fireplace - the room was too hot during the night and this affected our sleep. They had wine and cheese in the evening, which is a nice touch, but the wine was so low quality that it was barely drinkable. I've had $3 a bottle wine that was much more drinkable than this. I tried a glass of the white wine and then the red wine and they were equally bad. I wouldn't expect premium wine but it would be better to not serve wine at all than to serve really bad wine. The breakfast was a very light snack that included coffee, juice, and a small muffin. There wasn't enough food so my wife stole half of my meal. We went into town after this light breakfast to look for some more food since we weren't full. The places in this area where we've stayed in the past served a full hot breakfast.

Great hotel room right across from the beach

Cambria Landing is one among many hotels in cambria all along moonstone beach, so it's very easy to find. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the quality of the room was outstanding. We got a very large room with a sitting area around a table, a jacuzzi, excellent bathroom, and a small patio out front where we sat at night listening to the ocean. The bed was super comfortable and I got a great nights sleep as well.

Romantisk hotell

Vi hadde rom med utsikt og boblebad i stuen. Veldig fint og romantisk sted. Fantastisk Strand. God mat på restaurant ved siden av hotellet. Frokost ble levert på rommet, men var ikke mye å skryte av.

Excellent getaway seaside hotel.

Hotel is just across from the scenic rocky shoreline. Just adjacent to the hotel is an excellent bar and grill restaurant offering the best cuisine. The room we were given was a traditional room with two queen beds. It was very spacious with very comfortable beds and fluffy pillows. The hotel management should be commended for their efforts to make their hotel guests comfortable and welcomed. We really appreciate the coffee dispensing area near the stairway close to our room although we do have coffee maker available in our room. The ice machine was very well maintained and was very clean. Kudos to the maintainence staff for keeping the hotel campus very clean and tidy. There is ample parking for every guest. The front desk staff, Mary and Morgan were very courteous and helpful. The only negative experience was that our balcony overlooked the wooden fence that prevented us from seeing beyond our surrounding area. We would also appreciate if the hotel could provide us with maps and information of nearby restaurants and eateries. Will certainly recommend this hotel to my friends and love ones.

Wonderfully nice people run this place. Especially Mary. Stayed in 104, right off the lobby. Room was a huge surprise. Had no idea it would be that large. Wife and I had own room, kids had their own beds - 1 queen, 1 pullout. Completely satisfied. Hot tub was very nice too as was continental breakfast.
