Pros: The location.
Location: Great restaurant next door. And a lovely boardwalk along the ocean. A great way to start the day! Incredible wine tasting in Paso Robles.
The room was very spacious and clean. It had an ocean view. The hotel is next door to a great beach side Bar and Grill. We had a a very good dinner and Sunday brunch. The staff was accommodating.

A slice of heaven

From check in to check out, our stay was perfect. Thank you for the restaurant recommendation, our breakfast, and just an overall nice stay. We drove up for one night for some R and R, and our experience with you made for a perfect stay. We'll be back!

Cosy and friendly hotel very close to the beach

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: Location, hot tub, fireplace, wine and nibbles.
Cons: Breakfast could include some bread items.
Location: Walking distance from the beach and a couple of good restaurants, short drive to the town and Hearst Castle is an unmissable excursion.
Had a wonderful 1 night stopover on a trip from Santa Cruz to Los Angeles. Was great to be so close to the beach but the real highlight was the complimentary wine and nibbles before sunset during which the friendly host made an effort to make us all fee at home and make new friends with each other. Would love to come back to the hotel with my wife and family one day.

Loved this place!

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Decor, location, staff
Cons: No air con in room, although they did provide a cooling tower fan.
Location: Beach, walks, wildlife spotting (sea otters at Leffinwells Landing - Elephant seal rookery 30 minutes drive North
Really chic little Motel, with spotlessly clean rooms and nicely appointed rooms. Front desk were very friendly and helpful. Complementary wine and cheese each evening is a nice touch. Right across the street to Moonstone Beach, with a great boardwalk for a gentle stroll with stunning views.

Great location, across the street from the Ocean

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: Trip advisor
Cons: There was no Wi-Fi for our phone reception. However they do provide Internet service for your laptop computer or tablets.
Location: Very close to San Simeon and the Hearst Castle.
Very convenient walking trail adjacent to the beach across the street from the hotel . Check in was a breeze, the staff was very friendly. I liked the cheese and crackers and wine each night. I liked the fireplace in the room and the breakfast they bring you in the morning consists of fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese or muffin plus orange juice tea or coffee.

Great Location

Posted Jun 4, 2015
Pros: Great locaton, comfy bed and pillows, nice beachy decor.
Cons: The reservation process, what happened to me and my husband should have never happened. I should not have had to move rooms.
Location: Nice restaurant / bar next door. Great clam chowder. Beach right across street, can't beat the location.
Could have been better. My husband and I checked into our room and unloaded our luggage and stocked up the fridge with goodies, and set out our toiletries. Was just about to lay down for a nap when I got a call from the front desk asking if I wondered why my room was so big, my reply was NO. She said I was put in the wrong room and asked if I had touched anything or used the bedding and asked if I would remove my stuff and switch rooms. The room looked just like the picture on line. It was nice but not the best place I have ever stayed at. It was not cheap either. I paid $343 for one night with taxes. I was suprised and said OK I would. It was a pain. We had opened soap, used the toilet and a hand towel and put our things away. She gave me a new room which was the handicap room with no balcony or view of any kind. She thanked me and gave me a bottle of wine for my trouble, the other couple who's room I took got one too, Why I don't know?? I felt as though I was treated like a criminal when I had done nothing wrong. Upon check in , I questioned why the $$ amounts did not match my receipt and said I should not owe anything since it was already paid through Expedia. I watched the new people go immediatly into the bungelow and no one from hotel maintenance even looked to see if the room was clean. We were in there for over 20 minutes. I thought it was very odd, and not very professinal. What would they have happened if I had said NO, I wont switch

Unexpected Pleasures... Beautiful Beach

Posted May 17, 2015
We took our free glass of wine to the boardwalk on the beach. After a relaxing walk watching a spectacular sunset we had seafood next door. Then we enjoyed a soak in the hot tub, showered and slept well. Breakfast was delivered on a tray to our room. Feeling rested and rejuvenated we drove a few minutes arriving for an early tour of the Hearst Castle.
