if you bring your bike, this place isn't for you.

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Upon check-in, i was notified I couldn't bring my riding bike into my sleeping room. I would have to leave my bike outside locked to my truck. San Simeon is know for cold, foggy nights and mornings--horrible weather to keep a riding bike outside. I left, and never went back, had to find another room. don't waste your money booking a room at Days Inn , if you bring your bike with you. ps there is a $100 penalty if you bring your bike into your room.

Ok for the price

Nothing fancy, but good enough for the price and only one night. The room smelled overwhelmingly of bleach when we got there. The breakfast was less than exciting.

Hotel staff was very friendly; however the property was in disrepair with debris stacked up around the premises. Just didn't have an appealing atmosphere. The beds and pillow were fine.

Average hotel serves purpose

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Used hotel for 1 night on road trip, on arrival the spa was broke which was disappointing our room was nice but had a hair in bath (clean?!) and on complaining the managment seemed faceless and left to young reception girl to apoligise. You hear every car from room at night so if your a light sleeper .., overall good location /price & served its purpose.

Pros: close to Hearst Castle
The hotel has been upgraded nicely since I last stayed there 5 years ago. New rugs, Paint, bathroom upgrade, furniture. Good job on an older hotel. Nothing fancy but clean.

Pros: I liked the size of the room and the personal balcony. I also liked the ocean view.
Cons: We ran out of hot water so would like to have more available
Location: The location of the hotel is right off the main highway. Not to far is Hearst's Castle and view point where you can see the elephant seals.
We had to change our vacation plains because of a bad experience in San Francisco. My husband and I instead changed our plans and decided to go to Hearst's Castle instead of heading home. I went on the internet to look for a hotel to see what available and made last minute reservations for the Days Inn.

Better than 2 out of 5

Posted May 29, 2014
Pros: Everything
Location: It is the place to stay if you are visiting Hearst castle
Rooms were huge, clean, quite and very comfortable, all have a balcony.staff were very friendly.breakfast was great with choice of cold cereals and hot waffles that you make fresh yourself.a variety of breads were available for toasting, juices, tea, coffee. How it only rates 2 out of 5 I don't know, this is one of the better hotels that I have stayed in & I travel a lot,I mean a lot.
