Nice hotel on the breachPosted Apr 16, 2014
We were looking for a hotel close to Hearst Castle. We found and booked at the a Fog Catcher Inn and immediately after arriving the kids gave their approval. Our room was big with a fireplace and vaulted ceiling. The ocean was very accessible and the hot continental breakfast was a bonus.

Location: The boardwalk and beach are across the road. Restaurants nearby, or downtown is an easy walk with more stores and restaurants.
We enjoyed our stay very much! Ocean view room with fireplace, clean facilities, and excellent, helpful staff made our visit very pleasant. Perfect for a romantic get-away!

Our family loves this place!Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Full hot breakfast, spacious rooms, fireplace, minifrige, microwave, welcome cookies, Moonstone beach, close to Cambria & Hearst Castle,
Cons: Free water instead of charging $1.50 per bottle. Thicker bathrobes
Location: Moonstone Beach, tide pools, Hearst Castle, see Elephant seals 3 miles north of Hearst, hiking in San Luis Obispo, Cambria village shops & restaurants
Our room was spacious enough for my husband and I and our 2 daughters (14 and 12 yr old). We had 2 queen beds with vaulted ceilings and 1 bathroom. The decor was so cozy and quaint. We had 2 extra tables, 3 extra chairs, a fireplace for heat. 2 bathrobes, mini fridge, small microwave and I loved the Philosophy bath products. We loved the English cottage feel around the property. The full hot breakfast was delicious. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, make your own waffles, wonderful teas, etc... We loved being right across the street from Moonstone beach. We loved walking along the boardwalk, climbing the rocks, playing with the squirrels, enjoying the breathtaking views. We just stayed here one night because we were going to do a tour of Hearst Castle (which is only 15 minutes away), but now we want to come back and spend more time in Cambria and this lovely property.

Location: Shopping, Hearst Castle, Cayucos Beach, Morro Bay.
Cozy, inviting cottage-like atmosphere right on the water. Full breakfast included with your stay. Spa, heated pool, and outdoor fireplace was very enjoyable. Friendly service. Good for couples and/or families.

Moonstone Beach addressPosted Mar 20, 2014
Just fine except for breakfast room. It was crowded with food options lacking and needed to be refilled. Rude guest getting in front of line waiting for the toaster.
