Great place to stay at Cambria!Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, staff
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Right on Moonstone Beach there is a walking path. We saw sea lions, otters, and squirrels. Down the road is a very interesting woodwork studio
Fogcatcher Inn lived up to all our expectations. Check in was easy and they even had fresh baked cookies for us. The staff was helpful in recommending restaurants and suggested walking paths. Our room was recently redecorated and very beachy feel. Fireplace in the room was a nice touch. The breakfast was even better than we thought it would be. We will definitely stay here again!

Great relaxing stayPosted May 18, 2015
Pros: Location right across the street from the seashore
Cons: Wish we could have stayed longer
Location: Hearst Castle, Cambria, Moro Bay, nice boardwalk along the shoreline.
Hotel is in a beautiful location on Moonstone Beach. Staff checked us in quickly. Room was spacious, clean and fireplace started right up. Our bed was comfortable . Very quiet at night. Breakfast was very filling with a choice of eggs, potatoes, sausage, waffles, pastries, fruit and beverages. Would highly recommend.

Pleasant oceanside getaway.Posted May 1, 2015
Pros: See above.
Cons: Breakfast buffet, room decor, see above.
Location: See above.
Spent two nights at the Fgcatcher Inn on a girls' getaway. First visit to Cambria. Our garden-view room was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. Gas fireplace is a nice touch and the bathroom, while small, was adequate for two travelers. However the rooms lack a certain charm that one associates with a bed and breakfast inn. It was rather spare. Could have used a plant and a few more pictures on the walls. The decor was more like a Best Western type hotel. The only real negative was the breakfast setup: a buffet with plastic utensils and paper plates. The food was fine and included eggs, sausages, waffles as well as cereals and pastries, but the room is overcrowded, accordingly difficult to navigate, and the paper plates and plastic forks are a turnoff. At the rates charged they could use flatware and real plates. Cambria village is full of interesting shops and restaurants and the ocean is right across the street from the Inn.

Thank you for your feedback and comments. I am sorry you were disappointed with the bio-degradable utensils and plates. Due to our water shortage and drought we had to make tough decisions on how to cut back on water usage with the least impact on guests! Again I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and do hope you will return to the FogCatcher Inn in the not too distant future! Kind Regards, Karen Maraschiello, General Manager

Facilities have been recently remodeled and have splendid ambiance. Great location on the ocean and across Moonstone Drive and the walkway and beach. The sound of the surf is very soothing. Great full breakfast included.

Pros: Location and quiet
Cons: Needs a few more room amenities: wine opener, some utensils for kitchenette
Location: stroll shops, wine tasting, Hearst Castle, hikes
Went on a "girl trip," to do some wine tasting . My friend's first time EVER, beyond the Santa Barbarbra beaches, and she was equally impressed.

Cute hotel right across the street from the beach.Posted Apr 12, 2015
Loved the feel of the hotel. Mellow yellow walls with ivy growing on them. Reminded me of the English countryside. Super friendly check in with yummy cookies. Loved the fireplace all night. Comfy bed and pillows. Very clean inside room. Loved the body wash and the lotion. Breakfast was busy but had plenty of seating inside and out. I didn't see any hot eggs or bacon. They had cereal, muffins, toast, bagels, hard boiled eggs sliced which made it easier to salt and eat. They offered coffee, 3 types of juice, oat meal and two waffle makers. Always a line but yummy. I really enjoyed walking across the street to walk along the boardwalk along the edge of the beach. Saw a great sunset! I will stay here again on my next trip to Cambria.
