“Very impressed”

I was shocked as soon as I walked in the office door. There were delicious refreshments & a quaint eating area...then the room...wow! It was so big & very nice. Even though we had a partial view all we had to do was step outside &the ocean was right there. The cost of the room was very affordable. Needless to say our stay was an A++! I can't wait to go back!

“Really quiet, great location, hard mattress”

The hotel room was average size. it has a fireplace controlled by the thermostat so there is no noisy heating system. Overall the room was super quiet even when the property was full. The bathroom is very nice with standard tunb and shower. The location is across the street from Moonstone Beach. It included a basic continental buffet breakfast which was adequate to start our days. My only small gripe is that the bed was extremely hard. We both noticed it right away and woke up stiff both days.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Super clean and comfortable. Beautiful view and the sound of the ocean just out our window. Staff and housekeeping very nice and helpful. Just might have to make this an annual trip.

Will return again. Modern, well-maintained motel on beautiful Moonstone Beach in Cambria, CA. Sea-view. Restful and quit. Large, ultra-clean rooms with electric fireplaces. In-room refrigerator, and microwave perfect for breakfast or late night snack. Excellent value.

“Great Inn but ...”

-It's a great little Inn but it was a bit misleading. - I thought this was an ocean front Inn. It's across the street from the ocean. - "2nd Floor" is misleading too. The inn is built along a hillside, so the "2nd floor" rooms towards the back are actually first floor level. Meaning the real first floor towards the back is beneath the main floor level. You have to go downstairs to access them. - "Partial View" is true but it's not clear that the other 3/4 of the view is the parking lot right outside the window. Cars are driving by, people are walking by within a few feet of the window meaning, if you want to have the windows open to enjoy the partial view, anyone driving by or walking by can look in. Other than that, the service was nice, breakfast simple by nicely presented, very clean rooms, nice amenities and really lovely location. I would return but ask for a 2nd floor room towards the front of the Inn. Closer to the ocean, meaning a better view and higher up for privacy.

My family & I have now come back to Little Sur Inn for 5yrs !!! The staff is always so courteous and very welcoming !! We have NEVER had a bad experience staying here !!!

The hotel was just as described. Everyone was very friendly & the room was very clean. Not only was the staff kind but they were also nice enough to refer us to a great place for dinner Madeline's & it was also GREAT try it out if your ever in town. We will do both stay at the Little Sur Inn & dine at Madeline's again!

“Great view, but not very welcoming”

The view from the upstairs, oceanfront rooms cannot be beat! However, other than that can't say much for the quality of the stay. The front office people (3 different ladies) were not welcoming or helpful. Made you feel like you were inconveniencing them by checking in. The housekeeping staff, on the other hand, did a wonderful job. They were friendly and far more helpful than the front office. The continental breakfast which was included was really basic. We went to a local grocery store and bought our own fruit and yogurt. We have stayed at other hotels on Moonstone Beach that were far nicer for the price. Although they did not have the view.
