My husband and I just celebrated our 39th anniversary and we love Cambria. This was the first time we stayed at Pelican Cove. This stay was well worth the money. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning and the wine and cheese in the afternoon. The deserts were great too. We will be back.... Thank you Mike and Marlene

“Nice unexpected extras”

Pelican was right across from the beach. The room had a fireplace in it and beautifully landscaped property. In the afternoon they had wine & cheese, in the evening a dessert, coffee, tea buffet and a complete breakfast in the mornning all included in the room rate. Mid week rates were much less that weekend rates so we came on a Thursday. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. All in all a nice place.

“Surprisingly romantic”

I was looking for a hotel in the San Simeon/Cambria area to stay in to break up our trip back home to LA from San Francisco, and chanced upon the Pelican Cove Inn. I chose it for the location and the price, which was very reasonable. We spent one short night there, but wished we had time to stay longer. The staff was very accommodating, despite the fact that we didn't arrive at the hotel until after 8 p.m. (I found out that they have a social hour in the evenings with complementary wine, but we arrived too late for that.) The room was clean and well maintained, with a fireplace and a very comfortable king size bed. The door to the bathroom as a bit hard to open and close as it is a slider (the hotel is older, but I couldn't place the year because it was very well kept). We slept well; even though the hotel is right off PCH, I didn't hear a thing in the room - no traffic noises, no noises at all. In the morning, we had the complimentary breakfast, which was outstanding. I was used to the Holiday Inn Express breakfasts, which are good but can't touch the breakfast at the Pelican Inn. After breakfast, my husband and I took our toddler across the street to walk along the beach. There is a path above the beach that you can walk along and that will take you to where the sea lions congregate, but there were no sea lions there when we were there. However, the views are beautiful. The whole place is tranquil and romantic. I will definitely go back when it is just me and my husband.

“PERFECT WEEKEND GETAWAY IN CAMBRIA!”

THIS PLACE WAS WONDERFUL! I LOVED THE LOCATION, RIGHT ON THE BEACH. EVERYONE WAS VERY FRIENDLY. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED THAT THE YOUNG MAN (NATHAN, I THINK) WROTE DOWN OUR LICENSE PLATE NUMBER BEFORE WE CAME IN TO CHECK IN. WE LOVED THE BREAKFAST... SO DELICIOUS! AND WE WERE VERY SURPRISED AND PLEASED THAT YOU OFFERED THE WINE/CHEESE TASTING AND DESSERT BUFFET. WE ALSO LOVED THE FIREPLACE IN OUR ROOM. ITS THOSE LITTLE THINGS THAT WILL DEFINITELY MAKE ME WANT TO COME BACK AGAIN. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!

We went to Cambria to spend our 39th anniversary and as a surprise for my husband I booked a room at the Pelican Cove! I didn't know what to expect but I was not disappointed. The room was comfortable and romantic--across the street from the ocean. We walked every where which was great. The wine and cheese reception was nice and so was the dessert buffet and the classical guitar performance in the evening. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a perfect stay and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

“Treated as a Special Guest!”

We stayed in an ocean view suite at the Pelican Cove. The room was beautiful, clean, roomy and very comfortable. More than we expected for a small inn! We took advantage of all the extra pleasures also, free breakfast, hot and delicious. free wine and cheese in the afternoon and coffee and dessert in the evening. We will stay again!

“Really Nice & Well Appointed Room”

Our stay was quite enjoyable. OUr room (a king-suite with full ocean view) was gorgeous and quite cozy. Our only complaint was the bed... they need to update their beds to better compliment the rest of their amenities. Overall we loved the place and would stay again without hesitation.

“Pleasant Cambria Hotel”

The Pelican Inn was a very nice accommodation for our stay in Cambria. The location on Moonstone Beach is great; access to the beach and walking path is close. The room was comfortable. The events included in the room rate (wine tasting, desert, breakfast) were good and convenient. The breakfast was better than most free breakfasts we have experienced. Getting to downtown Cambria requires a short drive, but we prefer being on Moonstone beach.

“Outstanding Central Coast Hotel Eperience”

Can not be beat for location, service, relaxation, and tranquility. From tasteful ambiance of our ocean view room, to full breakfast in bed, to wine and cheese late afternoon and ending with special desert at night. My wife and I felt we had discovered a special getaway to which we will return (and bring binoculars to view the seals from the nearby beach across the road).
