Pros: location to ocean and hearst castle
Cons: ice from ice machine melted super fast. More open outdoor seating on the property.
Location: Visited Hearst Castle and then on our way to Solvang.
Used the boardwalks and lookout points to see Moonstone Bay. Others who were traveling in the area were super nice. Close to Hearst Castle, gas station, grocery store, and a bar and grill.

Very accommodating staff! Bed was a lil hard so they showed up to put 2 duvets under sheet. It did the trick!

Nice hotel close to the beach

The rooms are nice, and the location is very good. There are not a lot of places to eat nearby if you arrive late.

walk right across small street to the beach big nicely heated pool adequate breakfast comfortable bed - met 2 front-desk staff, both seemed grumpy - charged extra for having our child with us, even though we only had one bed - were given room right next door to maids closet, ice machine, etc. very noisy - expensive

The hotel was perfect for our trip. It's located right across from the beach and it provided the services and amenities we needed for our trip. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.

Located just across the road from the beach

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Its proximity to the beach and town
Cons: An electric jug and milk to make tea.
Location: If you like walking and beaches this is the place for you. It is three miles from Hearst Castle so is very handy for that. Nice meal at Indigo Moon.
This very pleasant hotel was within walking distance of restaurants and the lovely boardwalk across the road. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. We liked that you could take your complimentary breakfast back to your room rather than eat it in a huddle, with other people.

Average at a great location

Rooms are clean; decent continental breakfast and a nice location. However , accommodations were outdated (big, CRT TV with poor reception; no screens on the windows except for the bathroom's, so we didn't want to open the windows to let any insects in; and the queen bed was not firm enough so it sagged towards the center slightly. I guess that was why it was cheaper than some of the other inns in the similar location.

Beds as hard as a rock

Posted Jun 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
Although this hotel appears charming and cute, it is outrageously priced for what you get. For over $200, you'd expect a comfortable bed, but these mattresses felt like they had not been replaced since the 1980's. Also, there was a HUGE spider and spiderweb in the bathroom. Lastly, apparently you have to get there to check in at 10pm, which it said nowhere on this website. We arrived at 9:55pm, and almost missed our chance to check in. This needs to be noted on the site when you purchase a room.

Enjoyed three night stay with family. It is a nice small hotel. I would stay there again.
