Silver Surf NoMore Motel

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: I like that the hotel was placed across the street from the ocean.
Cons: Customer service is what needs to be improved before you can get anyone inside one of those rooms. The rooms do not have AC, but you are on the coast
Location: Plenty to do along the coast and great places to eat in Cambria.
There was a minor mix up with booking and the "manager" was non compliant in willing to work out a solution for the situation between myself and Expedia. He threw the responsibility of the booking on Expedia and was unwilling to refund my purchase and have me re-register due to some lame reason he needed his owners permission and it would be entirely difficult. He ran the hotel as if he was some type of God-father in the way he conversed with customers. I asked to speak with the owners of the hotel but of course they were out of the country during this time. I am in great hopes that you think twice before staying in this establishment ran by an immature, gangsta minded individual unless you enjoy poor customer service and being spoken to like your are one of his homies from the street. I feel sorry for the owners of this place, having this individual represent their establishment.

Old hotel near Hearst Castle which is why I booked

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Cons: Defrost refrig. periodically, fix the window in the bath.
Location: Hearst Castle.
The motel is very old and shower way small, bath room window can't be open, freezer needs to defrost, all iced up.

Horrible spa

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Don't pick this hotel for the tiny pool or run down spa but the rooms were nice. Nothing to do in this area. If you can stay in a larger town somewhere I'd highly recommend a different area. No air conditioning either so the rooms are very warm.

Not bad

Posted Jun 28, 2014
The pool was very dirty. There is no blow dryer in the room. Had to go to front desk to get one. Bathroom vanity is small. Only window is in the bathroom. Nice shower pressure. Comfy beds. Flat screen tv. It seems like they have upgraded but need just a little more work to be done. Perfect for an overnight stay before or after Hearst Castle. Make sure you go down the road to see the Elephant Sea Lions! Amazing!
