Cool Old HousePosted Oct 1, 2013
We stayed in the main house of the Burton Inn, and it was a beautiful old house. The staff was right on - we loved them, a glass of wine waited us when we checked in, which was really nice, and the breakfast was super tasty. We stayed in a family suite and for the amount paid, I felt a little bit disappointed. The beds were really comfortable and the room quiet, which is the most important thing for me. But there were almost no windows so the room seemed stuffy and dark. The bedroom was really plain with nothing on the walls to brighten things up. I felt the decor could use a little freshner, and perhaps some more lighting to make a more cheery atmosphere. But the location is great, the staff friendly, the breakfast free and the beds comfortable. I would go again for sure - but stay in a different room.

Charming and beautiful inn in heart of CambriaPosted Sep 30, 2013
Highly recommend the Burton Inn for your stay in Cambria or San Simeon. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and know so much about things to see and do in the area. The room itself is spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed with antiques and Victorian charm. Don't miss the excellent continental breakfast, and the hospitable server will cook up some delicious eggs to order as well. One of my best experiences on the California coast!

historic building in east villagePosted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
room was large. clean, but needs serious renovation. wallpaper coming off, appliances and tv dated, bathroom needs help. For the price wouldn't stay there again.

Room was spacious. The Inn is showing its age, We were lucky that the people above us were not staying up late, we could hear them walk around and talk.

Very pleasant stayPosted Aug 3, 2013
Pros: Quiet and clean.
Cons: I can't think of anything.
Location: There is a small park behind the hotel that is quiet and well kept. The hotel is only one block from shopping and dining.
This is the perfect place to stay if you are taking a weekend trip to visit the Hearst Castle. The hotel is only one block from the main street through town where you can dine or shop for antiques. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The staff is courteous and attentive.
