“Ideal for a visit to Hearst Castle”

We stayed 1 night whilst visiting Hearst Castle but as a jumping off place for this venue it was ideal. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and a free help yourself brekfast was provided that we had not expected. All in all good choice.

You really don't know what you pay for when you buy on line. In this case, we were very pleased with the cost, the location, the service, the EVERYTHING! We definately plan to stay there on our next trip to the coast.

beautiful pool and scenery.....the rooms were perfectly cozy....and baby friendly. the evening/night checkin was a fun and extremely warm guy. and my husband & i did a long overdue massage (hot stone) and it was the ice cream on the cake.

“Morgan Hotel Stay”

We had a wonderful stay at The Morgan. It is a little dated, even tho it says it is remodeled. The bed and shower were awesome, and we had a goof view of the ocean. We will stay again if we are in that area again!!

“Great hotel, great location”

This quaint, well-designed hotel is also befitted with blueprints, pictures and sketches of the Hurst Castle from which it takes it's name (Julia Morgan was the San Fran architect who built and designed the 'castle' for the entire extent of it's construction). Ask for a room facing the ocean for, while the view may not be spectacular (you overlook the parking lot), the sound of the waves crashing on the shore while you sleep is not to be missed. The bed is comfy, the pillows are nice, and there's a gas fire place in the corner which adds to the charm, plus, there's a game of MONGO checkers in the gorgeous lobby, overlooking the spectacular pool. The only downfall is that there are some remnants of the hotel before refurbishment (random hooks, holes in the wall, paint flaws, etc.) that make the place feel a little cheap and strange since they're such easy fixes.

“Hearst Castle 2009”

My family and I were looking for a hotel to stay at for the night before we went to Hearst Castle and this was very nice. They still had keys! I loved it. Very quaint, very clean and the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly. It even comes with a continental breakfast which saved us money...

“Love IT!!!”

We stayed in early May of 2011. The Feel was warm, relaxing and the service was awesome! Close to the beach, breakfast was a great diversity to suit anyone. The decor and furniture was very nice...Very quiet. We loved the fireplace and flat screen TV and the beds were vey comfortable!! We are coming to stay in late October and ride our bikes!!! May we suggest "Main Street BBQ" for the best ribs evarrrrr!!!!

“Great Weekend Getaway”

This is a great place to stay if you're ever in San Simeon. Our room was nice -- spacious and with a fireplace. The hotel is close to the shore, restaurants, shops and other attractions. Start your day with The Morgan's breakfast buffet, take the tours at Hearst's "Ranch", have dinner at El Chorlito next door, and then go back to The Morgan for a spa treatment. It's a great weekend getaway!
