Nice water views, good restaurant, beware train

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Location is handy, water views are good.
Location: City beach, walk to Starbucks and restaurants and downtown.
I've stayed here before and returned for the water views which almost every room has (the upside). The restaurant is B and they do a nice job for breakfast especially. Two issues: the trains are running more frequently (tankers carrying oil nowadays) and the tracks are immediately adjacent to the parking lot which is all that separates your room fromt the tracks. And we got a bad room (#230) which was immediately outside the soda machine and icemaker. As a resort location, guests were filling their coolers at 6 am and making insufferable racket. they need to move that machine somewhere else. So if you do stay, insist on the "new wing" on the north end (rooms in the 400's) which don't get the noise, and the A/C units there are less noisy also.

On the beach

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: The room was very clean. The food good and the scenery beautiful.
Cons: Getting our food vouchers at check in rather than having to go back later and ask specifically for them.
Location: It was right on the lake, near City Beach and walking distance to downtown.
A great place for a grandparent and grandchild get away. Near the Lake and walking distance to town and a lake side part.

Good for one night

Posted May 24, 2014
This place was very comfortable for our one night stay. The corridors however were like a sauna with all the afternoon sun coming through the windows. The nearby train line caused the whole building to shake everytime a train went past, but was not noisy at all. There was also a wasp best outside our balcony window. Overall - a nice place with good facilities.

Will come back again!

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Comfortable, clean and they keep it updated.
Cons: A couple corners on the bathroom floor weren't super clean.
Location: Many restaurants, shops easy walking distance. The beach is right in front of you and great all year round.
Best view in town for motels (we've stayed at several). Easy walk to downtown. Good restaurant.

A Sandpoint charmer!

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness! The Inn was exceptionally clean! They are doing renovations that did not impede at all on our stay.
Cons: Nothing could be improved.
Location: It is located in downtown Sandpoint, ID and is right on the lake. We had a terrace with chairs to sit out and enjoy the view.
This hotel is a quaint charmer right on the lake. We used the pool and spa and enjoyed the breathtaking view from the pool room! The restaurant attached was amazing!
