“Comfy, cosy and friendly”

We found the Guest Lodge to be just as the title implies. Having be recently changed from a Super 8, major refurmbishment has taken place. It's a lovely change from the cookie cutter chains. There were many choices for the Contintental Breakfast. It's close to downtown and to the many sites Sandpoint has to offer.

“Great place for its class and price.”

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights with my wife to go to silverwood. The hotel stuff including the housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. Rating this place with a 5 doesn't mean that it has the luxury of a 4 or 5 star hotel but compared to a 2 - 3 star hotel it was very decent, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was okay, TV was great, super quiet, the room smells okay and the price of the hotel after all is great. If you don't want to spend a lot of money and stay at a decent place (definitely better than motel6) this is the perfect place for you...

“Worked Great for Our Snowmobile Trip”

Like the hot tub, and free chili on Friday and Sat night. Easy location to get to, perfect spot for our annual snowmobiling trip in Northern Idaho.

“Great service/OK room”

This hotel is located on the outside of downtown Sandpoint, but near the road to the mountain and Wal Mart! The people at the hotel were very nice and the service was great. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Downsides were the breakfast was just OK (stale cereal and bread was gone by 8:00 am), and the room was cold with the air, but too stuffy if you turned it off. I'd stay here again for a convenient, cheap place to sleep!

“2 star rating is decieving”

The hotel was pretty good. The free breakfast was better than I have had in other hotels. They had choices. Hot and cold cerials, muffins, toast and waffles. They have a waffle maker that you use yourself and they have a bowl of batter beside it. The only problem I had was the maids were inconsistant. Most days I had new linen and the bed was made. 2 of the 7 days, the bed was not made and one day the old linens were left.

“Inconsistent”

Location is great, can get to everything in Sandpoint from there in 10 minutes or less. The cleaning service was inconsistent. Some days the used towels were not replaced others they were. Bed was made very poorly one day. I could see the lumps of the blankets under the cover. All the other days it was done well. My biggest complaint is the shower. Water pressure is low, water is hard, and the temperature rarely was hot enough. Also, I had to turn it to almost cold to get the shower button to stay in. I think this is due to the water pressure needing water from both sides to make it stay in. One other thing that could be improved is a solid headboard for the beds. The headboards are very uncomfortable to lean against while watching TV or reading. These comments are made as constructive criticism, not trying to put people off. These are minor complaints that if improved upon will enhance the hotel in my opinion. The staff was all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, I love the waffles. I will likely stay there again.

“Good deal”

As an overnight traveller, I was very happy with the facility. The room was certainly adequate considering the price, the waffles were good, and the friendliness of the staff was excellent. I wish them well.

“Nothing Fancy, but Clean and Comfortable”

This property is a recently remodeled and reopened Super 8. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and quiet. On the north end of town, so it's not really walking distance to anything, but you are only minutes by car from all Sandpoint has to offer. Would be a great and much less expensive place to stay during ski season than at Schweitzer Mountain.
