Not Impressed

Posted Aug 17, 2014
This was such a disappointing stay. The hotel on the inside was super outdated, our room was tiny and crammed, and it was so loud in the hotel. Obviously you expect to hear some noise when staying in a hotel, but we could hear other people talking in the room next to us and literally everyone moving around. Our sheets were stained, our room was either super cold or super hot (and when it was hot it smelled like something was burning). Just an overall bad experience.

Roof torn off and no power

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Rooms were nice
Cons: Backup generator
Location: We were up for a wedding but its a beautiful area
There was a terrible wind storm that took out power for the entire area. The staff did a great job trying to make accommodations in spite of the circumstances.

Power outage!

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Cons: Water pressure in the showers is very low and could use some fixing.
Location: It is about 30-40 minutes away from Silverwood, which is nice, but I was lead to believe it was much closer.
While there this past weekend there was a little storm where the power went out for several hours that night. My spouse and I came back to a complete black out. I understand there was weather conditions at fault but, none of the staff said one word to us about these conditions, nor did they make any efforts to make us comfortable, or to see if we needed anything for our room. We were in complete darkness until about 4 A.M. when the power came back on and woke me up. Then in the morning we were rudely woken up by the house keeping banging on every single door when it was several hours(around 8 A.M.) before check out, which is at 11 A.M . I am greatly disappointed with how the storm was handled, with the staff, and the rude morning wake up.

Thank you for your feedback, we take your comments seriously. I'm sorry that no one made you aware of the possible storm but I was not aware that a storm was coming and didn't know it was here until I looked out the window to see a 1500 gallon water tank smash into the side of the building and then go on to smash into guest vehicles. There were several emergencies at the time and I was trying my best to insure that all guests made it to their rooms safely, were comfortable and accommodated. The power was out for several hours and unfortunately there was nothing that could be done about it. Our housekeeping staff is trained to begin knocking on all guest room doors at 9am that are not marked with a "Do Not Disturb" sign in an attempt to get rooms cleaned as soon as possible if the guests have left already. I'm sorry if this procedure disturbed you and I hope you understand. Having you as guest was great and we hope to see you again.

aged one, needs updating.

We had a very small room, with an old non digital tv but very clean and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was short on protien and very carb heavy. This was the first hotel in the US that did not have a booklet or information about its amenities that I have every stayed in.

Thank you for your feedback, it is appreciated. Although our rooms are kind of small, we try to compensate with excellent service and comfortable theme. We have since upgraded all our rooms to HDTV's and although you didn't find our guests directories, I can assure you, they will be back. We are in the process of putting the finishing touches on them now. Thank you again for staying with us and we hope to see you again.

Not as advertised

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Flat screen, price
Cons: Vacuum and change bedspread
Location: It's Sandpoint, the beach, the water, hiking, biking, Crazy Days, downtown, Dubs.....
Was supposed to be a single queen bed, turned out to be a full. The room was very small, which was not the concern, we were just looking to sleep but were surprised by how small the room was. The carpet was dirty, didn't appear the room had been vacuumed and the bed spread had several stains (EW!). Had a nice big flat screen and DirectTV in the room though, that was nice.

Thank you for you comments, we appreciate them. All our rooms have the same standard queen size beds in them (60in x 80in) and I'm sorry that you didn't find them to your liking but they are queen size. Full size beds are slightly smaller at 54in x 75in. I do apologize for the dirty floor which is not normal for us. Our housekeeping staff takes great pride in the cleaning they provide and is an area that they do very well in, exceeding guests expectations again and again. As far as bed spreads go, we've completely eliminated them and replaced them with a more stylish, clean looking theme we hope our guests will appreciate. Having you as a guest was wonderful and although you found things that were irksome, I hope you'll give us a second chance on your return to the area.

The only negative, which is not really too much of a negative is that there is no elevator only stairs. The room was nice and quiet and the beds were comfy.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback, it is appreciated. Unfortunately, we do not have an elevator and the stairs can be bothersome to some guests but we have a very friendly front desk staff that would be more than happy to help you with your luggage if need be. Thank you again for staying with us and we hope to see again.

Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry to hear that you found one of our rooms still being upgraded. This is not something that happens to us and I apologize. I'm happy to let you know that we have finished all the TV upgrades so this shouldn't be a problem again. Having you as a guest was wonderful and we hope to see again in the near future.
