Of course, EconoLodge is a no frills lodging choice. So, if frills are what you want, this review might not be relevant to you. However, for everyone else, Econolodge is an excellent choice. If you want clean and comfortable, this place is for you. If you want a convenient location and easy/friendly check-in, this place is for you. And of course, the price for a stay is excellent. The only non-positive comment I can make is the the heating system can be a little noisy. However, for me, all the other wonderful positives of this lodging facility far outweigh a little noise for the heating system (by the way besides this one issue everything else is extremely quiet and the bed was comfortable).

perfect stay - Friendly staff, quick check-in/out. Great little quick breakfast of waffles, bagels ,cereal, oatmeal, tea & coffee in the morning. so many things close by. Stayed in February, room was warm & cozy. I might not choose this room during the summer tourist season as you would probably hear a lot from the surrounding rooms if it was busier/parking lot that is shared with a restaurant.

I didn't like the fact that we found a bloody tampon on the floor beside the bed. They sent someone to come and get it with an "I'm sorry"On the day we were checking out we asked if we could extend our checkout time by 4 hours until 3. We were told no they couldn't do that.We were offered no compensation.

A nice, quiet, clean place to stay for cheap. Was a little worried when we only saw one other car there, but it turned out to be quite clean and nice for the price. Staff was on duty all night, bed was comfy, water pressure was good, no bugs. We didn’t check out the breakfast but it seemed alright with a waffle maker, pastries, and drinks. Stayed on a Sunday evening after a day at Kalahari during the holiday season. Many places to eat nearby, we ordered U Ramen for dinner and went to the Sandusky Bay Pancake house for breakfast, both were pretty good.

The walls were really thin and we could hear the TV from the other room the entire night. The bed wasn’t comfortable and we didn’t feel save.

Pros: -Staff was very friendly and helpful -Breakfast was good -Beds were comfortable and clean -When asked for housekeeping, they were quick and efficient Cons: -Rooms and hallways need a little updating. Paint, minor repairs, etc -Sofa Bed was very uncomfortable and we found a hairball in the sheets Overall a pleasant experience except for the sofa bed.

Families on a budget, this is for you.
This is a good budget friendly place. We stayed in 2 of the deluxe double bed suites. It was more spacious than a standard room and had a little eating nook with a small table and 2 chairs, along with a sofa bed couch and coffee table. The rooms had updated decor and flooring, but some of the planks were separating in one of the rooms making it look like cheap work. The floors were a bit dusty and underneath the sofa beds needed to be cleaned. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable. Climate was nice. Bathroom looked clean. Water pressure was a little weak. For the price, I was satisfied. Its a 1-2 star hotel so expectations need to be in that range. Only about 9 minutes drive from Cedar Point and easy to get to. Breakfast was available with options like waffles, cereal, bagels, yogurt and other sweet items. Area and other guests were quiet while we were there on a Saturday night.

Good, but not great.
We stayed in a suite on the second floor. Every time someone would go in the hallway. a dog would start barking. It didn't happen too often, but you could hear it in the room. Cleanliness wise, the room wasn't horrible. My only complaints were that there was 3 different dirty socks in our room. 2 were right under the edge of the couch and the last one was behind the bathroom door. That makes me think they didn't clean very well. There was also some hairs stuck to the outside of the bathtub. The bed was a little squeaky and the curtains did not close properly so there is a lot of light that comes in. Breakfast was waffles, cereal, bagels, and grab and go snacks like pop tarts, donuts, granola bars, etc. Location wasn't bad.

The rooms smelt musty and some other order that was bad when we arrived. We had to keep the front door open and turn on the bathroom fans. The walls had dirt all over them by the bathroom. All the other walls looked like they had food stuck on them. One of the beds was broken and had metal pieces sticking out. Had to cover them with towels so we wouldn’t get hurt. Fridge had garbage and gunk inside and looks like it’s never been cleaned. Surfaces were definitely not wiped down. It was all around gross.
