“At first glance”

At first glance this Howard Johnson doesn't look to appealing but the overall stay was extremely pleasant. When we first got to the hotel the room had a smokey odor but the staff fix problem within less then an hour. The location is great and the staff was friendly and made the stay worth it. I definitely wouldn't mind staying there again.

“One of Sandusky's best budget motels!”

The room was amazingly spacious, especially the bathroom and had new carpeting, wallpaper and everything was just sparkling clean. As a matter of fact, the entire property seemed to be spotless! I have never seen such a clean swimming pool in a hotel this class! Next morning, I could see the manager going around everywhere to make sure the staff was doing what they are supposed to do! He is an example of a good manager!

“Nice and comfortable but small, will def go back!”

The desk clerk was very friendly and we had no problems checking in. there was an out door pool but it rained so we didn't use it, looked clean. Flat screen tv in room, very clean, extremely comfortable bed! We'll definitely go back! Forewarning to anyone claustrophobic, it is a really small room, just enough space for 2 people and a cooler.

“Not the average sized room but will do.”

The location is pretty much very close to the park entrance. The 2 Double standard room is half the size of an average Motel room. A little worn look to the room but was very quite the night I stayed on Sunday night. Great for a place to sleep since I did most of my ventures outside. The Manager at the desk was very nice and helpful. I would stay again for a cheap rate for one night maybe two. The restaurant next next door serves great inexpensive breakfasts. "Jolly Donut" I believe is what its called. $4 breakfasts! Eggs bacon home fries ham etc.. all fresh and in a small town building where I noticed is popular with the locals.

“Great and Comfortable”

My friend and I stayed there for 3 nights and we have to admit that for a really cheap hotel it was more than what we expected. The beds were so comfortable after long days just going from trip to trip in Sandusky. Not to mention the person in the front the desk was so nice and helped us out a lot. I would totally stay there again.

“Pretty Nice For A Reasonable Rate”

Owner is on site 24/7 and he and the staff are extremely nice and helpful. Rooms were small, but clean. Bathroom is small, but it got the job done. Wasn't happy with the TV reception. The rooms have flat panel TV's, but the only channel that came in perfect was HBO. HVAC unit was new/newer, so it worked very well and kept the room ice cold. Facility vending machine didn't work. The ice machine was hit or miss whether it worked as well. Overall I was pleased with our stay. The rate is what drew us there and considering all aspects noted above, I feel it was worth the stay. Will stay there again next year.

“great for Cedar Point visitors!”

Convenient, clean, and updated nicely. It's close to Cedar Point, restaurants, and shopping.
