The walls were dirty and one wall had a strange cut in it. The bathroom was dirty. The walls were very thin and we were kept awake from 2:30 - 5:00 am by the neighbors conversations. A train also goes by every hour.

Run down.Posted Oct 21, 2013
Cons: It is really outdated and run down needs major repairs.
Location: Great location to Cedar Point
Cheap, but you get what you pay for. This place needs many updates.

Would not recommend this motel to anyone.Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: It was close to the Cedar Point Causeway
Cons: Bring rooms into the 21st century. TV was from the 1990's, tile floor was dirty/worn, the bathroom door frame had strands of hair on the doorframe.
Disappointing. Did not look like the photos on the website. You could tell the room had been painted and repaired multiple times. You could see the outside light around the door frame; it didn't have weather stripping. The bathtub had black mold in the grout and the tub itself was peeling. There was wallpaper in the bathroom that had been painted over and it was peeling away from the wall. The furniture was really worn out. The Howard Johnson chain should be ashamed to have its name associated with this motel. It's in a prime location and could really be a wonderful place for people to stay. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

ok roomPosted Oct 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Room served its purpose. Its very close to Cedar Point. No non smoking single bed rooms were avaiable online but they had plenty when I arrived. I ended up gettin stuck with a double bed room which was ok but the smell wasn't so great. The service was great I would stay there again if I do an over night trip to Cedar Point

Very close to Cedar Point - good&badPosted Oct 14, 2013
Cons: Get a back road/opening between parking lots so patrons can access this lot without waiting an additional 30 minutes to drive 30 feet.
Location: cedar point
knowledgeable staff, helpful with directions and local info. terrible traffic in front of hotel!

Smelly, dirty, peeling paint, moldy Lets pick allPosted Oct 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
So i'll start with the pros: Its about five minutes from Cedar point.... and done. The cons: Bed was hard, Room was moldy smelling, My son immediatly started sneezing due to the smell. The room was hot, A/C wasnt on and took the better part of the night to cool off. There is a train that passes by on the backside of the hotel every hour or so. Peeling paint and broken fixtures everywhere. Bathroom tiles were missing, Drywall was falling down so someone glued and stapled the drywall back into place. If it wasnt 1am and we were dead tired from a full day at cedar Point we would of left. Pay the extra $50- $80 for a more comfortable stay.

Howard Johnson North Entrance SanduskyPosted Oct 12, 2013
The motel was somewhat run down, but the room was clean. The major issue I had was the noise. When the people in the adjoing room turned on their TV, or even talked for that matter, it sounded like they were in my room. Between the age of the doors/windows, and lack of insulation, it was like being in a kindergarten classroom. Also, there were a group of rooms that were all partying together pretty heavily. The hotel staff did nothing about it (I know a number of rooms made complaints). They went pretty strong until 5:30 or so in the morning. Once again it was so loud it sounded like the rager was going on at the end of my bed. My review may be a little biast as I only got a couple hours of sleep due to the noise after an extremely long day.
