“Stay Awhile”
The breakfast buffet was especially enjoyable due to the attention and friendliness of the hostess Patricia. Also, the beautiful lakefront pool and deck is worth the visit. Stay a few days and visit the lakefront towns and attractions. The hotel s a great headquarters for your stay.
“1 Day Stay”
Overall the hotel was nice. Location was perfect however not many choices to choose from regarding restaurants. Within 5-10 minutes to African Wildlife Safari/Jet Express & Miller Ferry.
“Comfortable”
Very clean room, hotel in process of remodeling, but room was very nice. Good complimentary breakfast and would definitely stay again!
“Good stay”
They were under construction during our stay, carpeting wasn't fully covering the floor. For some reason the TV remote did not work with the TV, batteries were replaced promptly when notified but still didn't work. Other than those minor details, We were pleased with the hotel. The coffee in the lobby was good. This hotel has a fish cleaning room and caters to fishermen.
“Less than I Expected”
I had never experienced such a low quality of care from a Comfort Inn...The room was generally ok except for the smoking/non-smoking issue. The check in staff exhibited and demonstrated unquestionably their desire to be elsewhere doing something else. I was absolutely dumbfounded by the lack of professionalism and the lack of responsiveness of the front desk staff. I did bring my issues to the attention of the afternoon staff when leaving who did tell the manager and she did call me but it was a little late. She at least promised to address the problems. Personally- having been a smoker and having quit smoking 5 years ago- I would think that when a customer says non-smoking room and Expedia says a Non-smoking room...they mean a non-smoking room. Even if the room stinks like cigarette smoke...why would you put ashtrays and matches in the room if it was really a non-smoking room??? Spend a little more and get better service: Go to the Island House (circa 1886) and get a great room with all new furniture and plumbing, lighting, etc. with 3000 times more charm and care. We loved it there and the food was AWESOME.
“convenient getaway.”
Although the hotel may need a little sprucing up a bit, the staff more than made up for it. Super friendly and helpful. The pool is a bit small but we found ourselves swimming in the lake instead. Very refreshing plus came home with some beautiful sunset photos. Convenient getaway.
“Great location!”
The hotel was fine, but the outside doors were not locked so anyone could access the hallways without a keycard. Not much security.
“Great and Friendly Service!”
The hotel was nice, they were remolding so it was a bit messy. The staff was friendly and nice and very helpful.
“Disappointed”
Called hotel prior to trip and arranged for a fridge in both rooms. when arrived told they didn't have any available but we could put our stuff in their fridge. a fridge was put in 1 room 2nd day very small, put on floor, had to get on hands & knees to access. 2nd day we found a soda bottle by the used bed. housekeeping did not replace washclothes, cups, coffee, tissues (empty box in room when checked in). Outside furniture disgusting.
