Pros: good location
Cons: hotel up-dating
This is an older hotel that needs up-dating. Older tvs in rooms, older mattresses on beds, no mini microwave or mini refrigerator in rooms but good rates.

Pros: Close to wedding I was attending
Cons: staff could be trained to be pleasant. Better attention to cleaning bathroom

The girl at the front desk was not at all friendly. The room was ok, hair in the bathroom, sink finish coming off, felt like I was going to fall through the floor in the shower. ( I weigh 170 lbs). No air in the main part of the hotel, and was very humid both days. Couldn't eat breakfast in the breakfast area as it was too warm and the front door was propped open letting more humid air in. Room was dusty but no signs of bedbugs!

Went to Port Clinton for a fishing trip with friends. We didn't need a fancy hotel, just a place to lay our heads, and this place was great! Staff was very helpful, we hadn't been in the area before and the staff could quickly point us in the right direction for anything we needed. Close to the docks with stores/restaurants close by.

THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH THE HOTEL WAS THAT IT HAD LIMITED TV CHANNELS. SPECIFICALLY THE CHANNELS DID NOT INCLUDE ESPN. IT HAD SEVERAL NEWS CHANNELS HOWEVER THEY DO NOT EVEN GIVE INFORMATION ON SPORTS TEAMS NOR MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.

we had 2 rooms, 5 nights. my father is nearly 70 & diabetic needed a fridge. The information was on the reservation months in advance but put in until we asked for it upon arrival. It was a small dorm style fridge, placed on the floor where he had to get down on the floor to get in it. this was after he was moved to a first floor room because he couldn't climb the stairs. Each room is charged each night for a safe in the room. Ours never worked. We complained twice & told it would be looked at but it was never fixed or replaced. Desk staff friendly, breakfast was basic but everything fresh & kept stocked. (hotel was full due to holiday weekend) The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but shares a parking lot with Phil's restaurant. Worst dining experience ever.

Pros: Staff was friendly. Breakfast was waffles, yogurt and donuts.
There were guests across the hall that were yelling and banging on the door at 1:00 am. They were screaming obscenities at each other. I know that this was not the fault of the hotel but the staff did not call the police or address the issue. I'm pretty sure they were afraid. When I told the staff in the morning they said they didn't know anything about it. After looking at the night notes, they found that the night attendant said he was "threatened". The police should have been called. Other than that, the staff was friendly. Room was clean but old. Very musty smell in the room. You have to keep the curtain closed because the view is the McDonalds drive thru. Didn't think it was a good value for the money.

Very good price for a two night stay. Great location. Very caring and attentive staff. Sparse breakfast. Quiet. Terrible, lumpy, worn out mattresses.

I rate the hotel amenities a D minus. The rooms do not include a microwave, refrigerator, or an iron/ironing board. You have to pay extra for these amenities.

Pros: ASHLEY on the night shift.
Cons: Cleanliness, overall upgrade of the hotel to SUPER 8 standards.
The room was overall average, and the cleanliness of hotel acceptable. I wish the overall experience better, but the Hotel is in need of an complete overalhaul by SUPER 8 MGT. The service provided by ASHLEY of the general upkeep of hotel was excellent, but the condition in the rooms at general was basic, and needed an major overhaul. ASHLEY was very helpful in finding Dinner and local sightseeing interests. The Hotel staff overall needed to be updated, as I pulled off the Waffle "pull" in my hands, and had to clean the mess up on my own.........

Worst Super 8 I've ever stayed in, but the price was right. The room was clean, but smelled musty. Beds were hard, but again, price was right.
