The creaking floorboards in the room above were a little disturbing at night, but it is an old building!

lovely CoffeePosted Oct 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
A warm friendly welcome from the Inn Keeper .We had the Samuel Beale Room very comfortable although the bathroom was very small so was the TV...a 12inch screen ...There was a step up to the very comfortable high double bed. A very nice 3 course breakfast which was different each day of our 3 day stay. ..muffin or scone to start followed by fruit..eg poached pear in a special juice then pancakes or omelette ...would have appreciated a choice of main course. There was ample very nice flavoured coffee but there was no offer of anymore food other than what was served. Walking distance to at least 2 nice restaurants.

Would not recommendPosted Sep 23, 2013
This was the poorest location in our vacation. We normally stayed in the Dan'l Webster but wrongly thought we would try a 'traditional inn' which we regret. The food was not to our taste and I did not eat anything on the two days there, which seemed to upset the host! The room was so dark I wish I had a flashlight to see- although I did see the spider webs in the corners. I was glad to leave and would not recommend this inn to anyone.

We definitely going backPosted Aug 19, 2013
We had a nice stay. The rooms are big the beds are comfortable so we had a good night sleep after a full day walk in Cape cod.The breakfast is good and the hostesses pleasant. The bathrobes are a great touch.Had a great lunch @ Belfry Inne.(that gazpacho was very good) Definitely going back.

Pros: The house felt very cozy and comfortable.
We spent two days in Sandwich and had a great time. Denny was very knowledgable about the area and extremely accommodating.

Good jumping-off point for Cape Cod adventuresPosted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: It is in a small village, with a church and restaurants nearby.
Location: We toured Cape Cod all the way to Provincetown and back in one day, and were able to attend a nearby church and drive to Boston by lunch time.
The service was excellent, especially the breakfast. We found we had Hawaii experiences in common with the owners, and that made for pleasant memories. First-class food was delightful. We were in the right place to visit Cape Cod in one day, and then head for Boston refreshed.

The proprietors were incredibly kind and hospitable throughout our stay. For breakfast, they asked if we had any dietary restrictions and when we told them we were vegan, they didn't even hesitate. The next two mornings we were presented with some of the best food we've had. They offered to make reservations for us at local restaurants and had recommendations handy for vegan friendly places, which is a tremendous help on the cape. They knew the area inside and out, recommending great alternate routes around that saved time on traffic and provided tremendous scenic views. Our room was likewise tremendous. It was pristine. The antique furniture was beautifully maintained and the bed was very comfortable. I cannot recommend this place more highly. Comfortable furniture in a beautiful room in a beautiful house in the heart of the Cape run by wonderful people who charge incredibly reasonable rates - the best of both worlds.
