“Will stay here again when we come back.”

The hotel is very close to the train. We had a balcony with a view of the Rhein and the Castle located on a hill on the bank on the other side of the river. The host was into music and sang and played his Indian Instruments. They were very friendly people. The typical German breakfast was served with fresh bread, preserves, nutella, cold cereal, juice and great coffee. The surrounding area had vineyards and winerys to explore and great german restaurants. St. Goar is a sleepy tourist town. If you get the chance visit Winnigen on the Mosel another beautiful German town.

“Hotel Rheinfels -- good choice for families”

We stayed at the Hotel Rheinfels in July 2011 for one night. We had a very comfortable room for four, with a river view. The room was huge by European standards; a family of four fit comfortably. The K-D cruise line dock is right across the street, so it's very convenient for doing a Rhine cruise. The hotel has no parking but there were plenty of public spots very close by. The included breakfast was one of the best we had during our three-week vacation. They even made eggs to order for us. The hotel manager, Mr. Sangha, was very helpful and courteous. He even got us a discount on the K-D cruise. All in all, it was a great stay.

My friend and I throughly enjoyed our stay at this motel. The family owned motel was well looked after, breakfast was great and the location is fantastic. We would highly recommend the hotel and the family running it are lovely. The owner accommodated us with any request we had, including storage of our hired push bikes. Breakfast was great. Location was straight across the road from the Ferry which was fantastic. Lovely Restaurants within 200 metres. Train station is about 200 metres from the hotel.

“Excellent place to stay in St Goar”

We had a very pleasant experience while staying at the hotel. Everything from checking in to having a nice clean comfortable room with a great view through to the check out. The breakfasts were really good with fresh bread, meats, smoked fish and fresh fruits, one of the better breakfasts we had on our trip.

“Just Dandy”

The hotel met our needs just fine. My daughter and I spent 2 nights there in a room on the 3rd floor (which is the 4th floor for Americans). View from the room was excellent overlooking the Rhine River. The room was high enough that street noise was minimal with the window open. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was small. Owner and staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. The only real downside was that there is no elevator so the initial 4 floor bag drag was tiring. Personal physical limitations should be considered when booking a floor level.

“Great view”

This hotel has a great location in St. Goar. Great view of the Rhine and Katz Castle. Jr. suite was adequate in size and clean and well kept. Service was marginal though. Usually no one on the front desk. Help with luggage. Could be an issue given there is no elevator. Included breakfast fairly Spartan.
