My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and got the "penhouse", which is suite #10 and is located on the top floor and has 2 rooms. The suite was amazingly large for European standards. We could see the Rhine river and a view of a castle just right from our window. We arrived around 11:00pm and the hotel reception was closed, which we panicked but there was an intercom and we were able to connect with the owner. This hotel is family owned and you can feel the great service, they treat you like family. So if you have a late check-in, make sure to call them and let them know. There hotel is not in a town per se, it sits by itself on the river, which we liked since we like to have a quiet place where we sleep. There is a town not too far away, like about 6 miles, if you want some action. We were so busy during the day that at night, we just wanted to be in a quiet place and this hotel was perfect. I read the reviews before booking and read about the train being loud but that is not true, the train does come by but that was not an issue at all. We were able to fall sleep easily and the train did not get on the way so don't let that deter you. Overall, we loved out stay, there are tons of town you can visit during the day and enjoy castles, food and culture. We would certainly come back again.
