Good ValuePosted Oct 10, 2013
Location: nothing nearby, but close enough to metro and tram to get to city centre in 10 minutes.
Cheap but adequate. Location a bit out of town, but close to metro so no problem. Air-con didn't seem to work. Noise from the motorway, but not a problem. Breakfast cheaper in cafe-bar than room service. Only Spanish spoken, but sign language worked!

Very basic hotel with good transport connectionsPosted Aug 4, 2013
Pros: metro and tram connections were excellent
Cons: Cleanliness and noisy
Location: Impoverished area. Good transport. No evening entertainment. Good cafes behind hotel. There is a market under the viaduct on Tuesday
This hotel is located in a deprived area. There were many buses, a 7 minute walk to the metro and 1 minute walk to the tram. However the tram station is under the motorway viaduct across from the hotel. This area is unnerving and not for evening visiting. The tram service is an excellent mode of transport and once on board it is save and frequent. always punch your travel tickets on the trams and buses as guards and police regularly check. The only evening entertainment is in the road behind the hotel which is frequented by the friendly local community in the evening. Most sit outside cafes or watch the children play in a community fountain. The hotel has a small enclosed court yard with tables and chairs and a noisy motorway. There is a small inside bar. The receptionists did not speak English and didn't know the routes of the local buses. My room was basic. The bed sheets and covers had hairs on them and the floor wasn't clean. The shower worked well but the room was grubby. The room over looked the back of buildings and was next to the busy motorway which was noisy day and night. This hotel needs modernising and deep cleaning.

We used this hotel based on it proximity to the Barcelona airport following a long drive from France. It is located in a bad section of town and our room was facing a noisy elevated highway. There was also an unacceptable level of noise/running around in the hallways late at night. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly and the hotel offers free parking and Wi-Fi. I would not recommend this hotel

One night stop overPosted Jul 20, 2013
Accept the price and it will be basic but it was clean and pleasant. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Knowing a bit of Spanish is essential in my opinion. Bit off the main areas but short walk to beach

basically the services are very goodPosted Jun 9, 2013
Pros: location and near to the local peoples;
Location: good location; near to train station; prompt it in the airport /especially for the international students
The staff must show their confidence when they answer any question from the customers (especially from international customers).

A perfect place to stay for a young travelerPosted Jun 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
.The hotel was perfect for a inexpensive traveler who wants the BASIC amenities when traveling . This hotel is no Four Seasons or Ritz but gave me exactly everything that I needed with nothing more. The maintenance of the hotel was spot-on and remained clean for the duration of my stay. The train station was 4 short blocks from my hotel and at night there was a night bus that ran directly into the heart of Barcelona from that same train station stop . My rom was cleaned everyday when I left the hotel and the room was overall comfortable to be in. Although most of the staff didn't speak a lot ( if any)of English , the few questions that I did have were answered .The neighborhood had a myriad of restaurants and shops from different cultures so you could have your choice as to what you wanted to eat for the day and the area was safe at night .I would definitely go again , but the one thing that shocked me was that theres a highway overpass directly to the front and right of the hotel , but at night I couldnt hear a thing. I would and WILL definitely return to this hotel again :)

Good for the pricePosted Apr 23, 2013
Good for the price, location is quite convenient. A local market right across the road, with plenty of local fruit/beg stores and bakeries nearby too.

Good for the price with the Metro only 300m awayPosted Mar 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. On my first night, the heating was not working and it was -4 in Barcelona. But I was too tired to complain and so just wrapped up well and went to bed. They'd fixed it by the next day when I asked them. The hotel is in the outskirts of Barcelona, a bit like being in, say, New Cross to the centre of London, but then you benefit from local prices and tapas including wine was amazingly cheap!
