My arrival at the hostal was delayed significantly due to my first flight being delayed and then my rebooked stopover flight being delayed as well. The staff were in correspondence throughout my predicament and stayed up well past midnight to check me in. The staff were pleasant for the length of my stay, spoke very good English, provided helpful tips for getting around Barcelona and even helped me book my train to Valencia.
The location was good a nearby metro station and bus made getting around the city very easy though plenty of things were within walking distance.
Facilities were good enough especially for the price and the kitchen was well stocked with knives and plates etc.
I would definitely stay again if I decided to have a few nights in Barcelona again.

Close to train station and hop on and hop off bus goes past it. Breakfast was small, not many choices, but adequate. Complimentary supper was terrific, a late Nate snack and cuppa available from 6 to 9 pm.
Staff very helpful.

The staff at Blanc Guesthouse were extremely helpful and kind. The hotel is very good value for money in that it has excellent quality rooms and bathrooms for the price. When I arrived I was put in a room next to the office and the breakfast room. Although the room had en suite, it didn't have a window and I was staying for four nights. I asked if I could change rooms and the staff made this possible. I moved to a twin room which was very spacious with a window to the street. Although the room was not en suite the bathroom was directly next door and the room also had a sink. The room had very good storage. I did not have breakfast as this wasn't included in my price but the breakfast area and the terrace were both lovely spaces. The fireplace and seating area near the computers is also a nice place to sit and read.
I would recommend if you wish to have a quiet stay, that you ask for rooms not next to the breakfast room and the office. My room was towards the street and had was in a quiet part of the hotel. I would also warn guests that the rooms aren't sound proofed. The hotel very kindly point this out in the information in the rooms and ask that guests are respectful of other guests but this does depend on who you get next to you. I did have quite noise people next door. Also, the televisions are mounted to the walls so sound does travel.
The hotel is in a very good location, about a 30 minute walk to Las Ramblas.

This was a great hotel at a low price--a hard combo to find. The morning breakfast was good, more than just bread, coffee and juice with a lot of variety, linen napkins and tablecloths, make your own individual coffees, teas, hot cocoa, etc. more than many hotels offer, and I was particularly impressed with the service by one man fluent in English at the front disk and the gentleman who took care of the dining room. The price unbelievably low was such a real bargain.

My boyfriend and I spent a week here late September and loved it. The hotel is not quite in the heart of the city but is a short metro ride (5-10 min) away from placa catalunya. The area it is located in is pleasant and not noisy if like me you like a good nights sleep, but does have plenty of bars and restaurants. We were greeted by Luis who along with Rosa was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay, Informing us of various places of interest and what was on and where to get buses etc from. We had one of the rooms with a separate private bathroom which was no bother for us. Both were cleaned every day, changing the sheets half way through the week, unlike most hotels which only change them when you leave. The room had air conditioning and a fridge which was great due to the hot weather. Breakfast was in their own kitchen which we only used once as we ate out most of the time. As the name suggests it is petit, but this makes it more homely. I would definitely stay here again.

Booked because the price was good and I was pleasantly surprised at the standard of the room. Very clean and comfortable en suite room. The two staff working there during my stay were friendly and helpful and even did my laundry free of charge. The location was good, quiet, but with some good cafés nearby and a metro station within a five minute walk so easy access to all the attractions (via metro). Breakfast looked quite basic, but there is an excellent cafe a few minutes away that did a great breakfast for under four Euros. Overall excellent value for money and I would happily stay again.
