Our time in Barcelona

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly and professional, it had a good work out room, it was clean and in a quiet location.
Cons: The WIFI needs a serious upgrade. At one point I had to call my bank and that took some doing that tested my patience.
Location: Transit was very close so were coffee shops and restaurants. There were three grocery stores very close and a bakery.
A fantastic city that truly has something for everyone! We enjoyed walking and taking the transit to really "see" the city. With it's impressive architecture, friendly people and warm climate(we were there in October) we were in awe every day. And as we are food lovers we knew we would enjoy the offerings of the city, and Barcelona did not disappoint, that's for sure! We also took in some shopping, enjoying the local brand names. We will definitely come back to this beautiful city!

A hotel I've been to for last 10 years

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: The staff and location
Location: It's starting to get a bit tired and could do with a perk up
This was the 10th time I've been to this hotel and was the first hotel I visited in Barcelona 10 years ago so I have a soft spot for it..This time was no exception, the staff were as welcoming as ever and the hotel was as good as I rememember and as usual you get an apartment with kitchenette bedroom lounge area and bathroom, I've lived in smaller flats at home than this! So handy as across the block is the T3 tram, out side 157 bus and the L78 to and from airport. Also there's a supermacardo and a great Chinese restaurant and if you don't want to go out the hotel restaurant does a great evening meal and a killer sangria

Apt/hotel

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: The rooms had plain tiled floors but clean. A restaurant, but we didn't eat there. Small park and dog park nearby.
Location: Residential area. Some pastry shops, small businesses, local bars & a pharmacy nearby. Not touristy.
Hotel room was okay. Pleasant staff. It was part of a residential apt. complex. Clotheslines hanging out.; some noise from kids. Worst part was the distance to anything. 25 min tram ride to metro then 20 min to Catalunya on metro. Way too long. OK if you're only going to sleep and leave immediately for cruise in the a.m. I wouldn't want to go daily sightseeing from there.

nice hotel

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: it was nice and peaceful compared to many other hotels in Barcelona that i've stayed at before
Cons: reliability of internet and restaurant open more hours
Location: the hotel is located close to the bus and tram lines but the metro is quite a walk. There's a park just round the corner
we recently stayed here and found the hotel to be very nice, the staff were helpful and friendly.Unfortunately there was a problem with the internet not working for 3 of the 4 days

Ten minute walk from metro. Bus stop right outside

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: Customer service, cleanliness
Cons: You have to ask reception for kitchen utilities (kettle, plates, cups etc)
A great hotel offering value for money. Secure parking available. Room was tidy and cleaned daily including a towel change. Customer service was fantastic. Downside was a little note in a cupboard suggesting to call reception for a kitchen kit (kettle, cups, plates etc)

Good value for money

Posted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff and value for money
Cons: General room comfort.
Very well connected to transport facilities. L77 bus takes you from Airport to the hotel in about 40 minutes for 2.15 euros. The tramline is quite close as well. A large supermarket is just opposite to the Tram station and the staff are quite helpful in supplying the utensils to cook with.

Nice hotel and worth the money.

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: As above
Cons: As above
Location: As above
It was good with big rooms and fridge/microwave facilities for options of cooking or warming food-can be convenient for families. However we didn't like the fact that bed sheets were never changed for our entire stay. The breakfast was good but the dinner we ordered on our first day was not to the standard we expected. The staff were excellent and very informative and willing to help especially one gentleman who was on duty on Thursday (4/9/14) afternoon to evening when we checked in-its a shame i .an't remember his name. The fact that the staff spoke English was a big bonus to us. Overall stay was good and transport from the hotel to the airport and to Barcelona city was easy -a bit of a distance but not a concern at all to us as it was part of our touring. One needs to remember you can buy a T10 card worth 10 euros which gives you 10 trips in total and this is by Tram, Metro or Buses. The bus and tram trip is counted as one trip each time you board and scan the card even if you are 2 or more passengers?? At the metro, you got to scan and each person will equate to a trip. Food in Barcelona city is cheaper than the outskirts.
