small worldly hotel, great value

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: it's location and the old worldly feel.
Cons: nothing at the price, possibly rooms fans although we were not troubled without them.
Location: quiet location with great shopping in Santa Anna just a few miles away. Closest to the highway 27
The hotel has only 12 rooms, no A/C or room fans but neither are necessary. It sits in a beautiful location up on a hill overlooking the city, quiet, serene and in an entirely safe and pleasant area. The hotel is old and worldly but looked after well, lots of hanging plants and well groomed garden and a nice private pool. good breakfast with table directly outside of your room. It is absolutely the best value for money we have found in San Jose and it is the easiest to access to or from the highway 27. Fantastic Italian restaurant at the foot of the hill.

Close to Alajuela Posada

Posted Aug 14, 2014
The hotel (Posada) was OK for the price but the night shift young employee didn't try very hard to please us, tired, hungry guests in our basic needs. The humidity smell in the room wasn't as bad as the employee service.

Very nice Hotel

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Everything especially the custom treat.
I was disappointed just because I had to leave, I loved it and I will be staying here over again, every time I can. It is just convenient to stay here, rather than the hustle and bustle of the commercial hotels close to the airport. Very friendly staff guaranteed and just great combination of comfort and nature with open areas and grounds.

Business trip in paradise

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: beautiful surroundings, nature, patio, pool, small
Cons: old 19" tv was a let down. no soap, tp, modest room; but with a million dollar view.
I wanted to stay in a hotel during a 5 day trip in an exotic environment, a little off the path and not a nice box.

Great stay!

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: The awesome views, nice grounds and superb staff.
Cons: Playgroung for childen, though there is planty of Green areas.
Location: It is near Lindora, where you can find variety of restaurants just 5 minutes taxi ride, they arrange the best daily tours.
I really recommend this place, very convenient located not far from the airport, I used this hotel as our based home as our family arrived in different flights. We loved the quietness and drinks chilling around the terrace, we definitely recommend to anyone.

Beautiful grounds good service no air conditioning

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: The setting
Cons: Airconditioning
Location: It is near the airport and there is a nice restaurant at the bottom of the hill. There is free but slow wifi available
Without air conditioning in muggy hot rainy season was tough. The service was great and the breakfast was nice, the grounds are beautiful and the rooms have a lot of character.

Peaceful pitstop to anywhere

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Everything, the garden is gorgeous, the views spectacular. ....oh crap I sound like an advertisement for them....lol
Cons: Um, well the only thing I can think of is have another close to me here.
Location: Yep, can't help you there, near the airport is the best I can do for location. What to do?
After a long day of traveling, you find courteous people waiting to help you into your room. You have a very tasty restaurant at the entrance, so once there no need for you to leave. , a bar inside and a pool to cool you down. Clean and comfortable rooms. The price could not be beat for such an awesome nite. I will return every time I need to travel to San Jose.
