Old- not ina vintage kind of way.

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: It was clean and quiet.
Cons: They could actually get an internet sevice that works well. They could update furnishing.
Location: It was in a neighborhood about 3 miles from downtown, near the hospital.
This hotel is old and out of date. The worst part was that the wireless internet did not work at all. When I told the staff about it they said, "anything else?". I will not be staying here again.

Perfect hotel for my stay!

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: All areas very clean and well kept. The staff is so friendly, helpful and kind. I like there is a nice restaurant right next to the hotel.
Only stayed 2 days and 1 night. Very nice facility and very quiet and dark shades for room. Beds and chairs in room were very comfortable. I would have preferred queen size because there were 3 of us. The bathroom was very clean. Because the mirrors (loved the extra magnifying mirror) and sink are in the corner, there was not much shelf space for toiletries though. Also like that you are so aware of the environment and recycling.

Best deal in a very overpriced city for hotels

Posted Mar 31, 2014
I love Santa Barbara, but I hate how the larger hotels price gouge by charging over $300 a night when they're just not that nice. This Best Western is a very comfortable, well located, and well managed property.

The Best Western Encina-

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Nice aviary, tiny Jacuzzi, location.
Cons: Price too high.
Location: Nicely situated--away from traffic; near enough to attractions.
Everything as nice, but wow, at 200.00 a night we expected a little bigger room.

The staff was very friendly the room was comfortable and the jacuzzi was really relaxing. The small fridge under the sink did not keep my stuff cold the door did not close.

The room was extremely clean and the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. It's a great place to stay if you enjoy being someplace super casual in a safe neighborhood.

Will definitely be staying here again! Very clean room, beds were comfortable, and located in a very quiet part of Santa Barbara. A stone's throw away from downtown - - perfect! Great value!

Nice Quiet & Clean Hotel

Posted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Very clean & quiet. Staff was very pleasant.
Cons: Fan in bathroom so it does not get steamed up too much.
Location: Very close to State St with many restaurants. Short drive to the beach.
We were very pleased with our stay. We had a king suite that was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Only small issue was the refrigerator made a high pitch sound occasionally. Not enough to keep us awake.

Simple, classy and nice getaway!

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: It didn't feel like a hotel, just a little apartment!
Cons: Older feel, maybe modernize the hotel...
Location: The restaurant is nice if you do not want to go anywhere. State Street is very close, we drove, but it is walking distance.
We checked in a little later and everything was ready to go! We had a nice king size room. First floor with a little seating area outside. It was quiet and very homey.

Room was very nice for the price point.

Posted Feb 2, 2014
The hotel is in a great location just a short few minutes to state street or the beach. Remember to request a non-smoking room when booking on Expedia. We did not and the room smelled like smoke. Overall a good place and I would return.
