Worth the price.

Pros: The pool area was well kept up and the pool and spa water clean. Attractive surroundings
Cons: Larger pillows, better climate control.
Location: Convenient walking distance to shops, restaurants and theatre.
The tap water had an unpleasant taste. The soap or the shampoo didn't lather up well. Water spray from shower head was weak.

Nice location/decent hotel.

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: breakfast. Not good.
Location: Theater. Restaurants and shops.
A clean room. The location is perfect, but noisy. Walking distance for anything in town. Half a block from the theater. A little expensive for the type of hotel.

Excellent location!

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Good location, friendly receptionists, clean room.
Cons: The continental breakfast.
Location: Just about anything Solvang has to offer, shopping, eating, walking and even enjoy the Farmers' Market.
This hotel is nicely located in Solvang, just walk outside of the hotel you are right in the heart of Solvang. The room is clean and the front desk staff are helpful and friendly. I didn't give it a five star because I think their breakfast can be better, it it too limited., like to see hot cereal and eggs.

Good, Quiet Location

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Good location, room was quiet
Cons: Room should be thoroughly cleaned including replacing all fabric (linens, bedspreads, drapes, etc.), carpet cleaned and a wash down if found smokey.
Location: Located in Solvang. Also close to Santa Inez Valley, Buelton and not far from Santa Barbara
We had booked two rooms for family. All rooms are non-smoking, but the prior occupants did not know or were inconsiderate and did not care. They had obviously smoked a great deal in one of the rooms. Night clerk did what he could do, but we were told no other rooms were available. Would have left right then if there were another option. Slept with all windows open, the smoke smell made our stay uncomfortable. Returned home with everything smelling of smoke (all clothes, luggage, everything that was in the room).

well kept, comfortable, but staff not so friendly

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: clean & quiet
Cons: friendliness of staff
Location: warning to travelers... most restaurants and shops close by 8pm. really nice to walk around (even at night when all is closed)
the hotel is really nice, well maintained, with comfortable beds, etc. Overall a very nice stay.. only suggestion, not just to hotel staff but to most people in Solvang... its such a BEAUTIFUL town, but doesn't feel very friendly or welcoming to tourists.

Great Location

Posted Jul 17, 2014
The location was right in the heart of Solvang and the exterior fit right in with the area. The pool was clean and there were plenty of chairs and lounges. The continental breakfast was typical with coffee, juice, sweet rolls and toast. We needed a handicapped room and had reserved one with 2 queen beds. The hotel called me about noon the day of arrival and said they only had a handicapped room with a king bed. It was not our first choice but worked out OK. The handicapped bathroom was excellent and the handicapped parking was right outside our door. The interior was typical and what I expected for the money. I will return next year.

Great location and value

This is an older facility and some what cramped in size. Our bath recently updated. Window view limited. Unheated pool in center. Breakfast nook is really small and offerings limited but trays provided and can migrate to pool side or room. Location desirable.

Solvang not to be missed

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Centrally location and although on the Main Street it was quiet .breakfast was not a lot of choice.
Cons: Breakfast but that's about it.
Location: Do not miss this little jewel in the dessert.this town is so different. I've never been to Denmark but if it's like this I can't wait to go.
Hotel was just off the Main Street and ideal for the city centre. Easy parking and desk staff were helpful and efficient.Room was ok large enough and comfy.

Clean and accessible

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: accessibility and cleanliness
Clean, comfortable, no odor in the rooms. Friendly staff. Nice pool. Right in the center of Solvang, less than two blocks to any place. Affordable and very easy to get from car to room without having to go thru several corridors and elevators.
