“A warm welcome = a great stay. Already have reservations for a return.”

A very charming hotel. Mark, who will likely welcome you upon arrival was wonderful. And his breakfasts in the morning were a real treat - high marks for culinary skill and quality. Mark also "hosts" a late afternoon wine tasting that includes fresh baked cookies, brownies or similar delight. We've already made plans to return.

We arrived tired and late to find a warm welcome from the proprietor. Room was cute and clean. We still had time for an excellent meal that was top notch in a calm, well appointed room. The few downsides can be overlooked due to the lateness of the day and being very off season. Breakfast in the morning couldn't be beat in the same lovely room we had had dinner in. We would certainly stay again. Small, quiet, well lit with a top of the line chef in the kitchen.

Our stay was lovely. We had a room at the top of the building which had a separate lounge area. The only suggestion that might have been nice would be to have a choice of breakfast although the food we were served was indeed delicious. Definately recommended.

“More like a small European hotel...”

This isn't the typical converted older home...it's a purpose built three story small hotel. But that isn't a criticism, just a characterization. You also don't have the owner's hands on involvement, like most cozy B&B establishments. But you have to love the dinner restaurant! Well worth making reservations. Awesome wine list, though very expensive. Dinner itself was reasonable. Breakfast is a disappointment after experiencing a great dinner. No selection, other than cold cereal or the hot selection. In our case, poached eggs and potatoes...both prepared in advance. The potatoes clearly came from the freezer bag... Convenient location for wine country touring or for Solvang visit.

We enjoyed our stay here. It's walking distance from downtown Solvang. A nice breakfast is included. Comfortable room. Friendly staff.
