Satisfactory for the night.

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: The bed
Location: The nearby community of Ojai was absolutely charming. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner there, as well as strolling around.
We were pleased with the room. Generally very clean. The bed could have been better.

Great for the price

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: Clean, great for the price, proximity to attractions.
Cons: Bring soap. They have one of those soap dispensers you see in restaurant bathrooms as opposed to bath soap. They do give you shampoo.
Location: Minutes from Soule Park Golf course. Walking distance to JJ's sports bar, a pizza shop, a Thai restaurant, Market, and Top of the Hill bar.
Just needed a cheap(er) place to stay for one night. I was playing in a golf tournament early the next day and didn't want to have to drive all the way. WARNING: For those of you people that are looking for a relaxing day spa and retreat this isn't the place. If you want a clean, quiet room with a microwave, fridge, free WiFi, TV, and A/C in the area, care more about exploring the surrounding area as opposed to getting a latte sent up to your room and don't want to break the bank, this is the place for you. It's literally minutes from downtown Ojai and just a small drive to Ventura. This place is very quiet, has plenty of parking, and is clean. (I was actually pleasantly surprised how clean the bathroom was.) The guy at the front desk was nice but to the point. Nothing outstanding but he made sure I had everything I needed. I was surprised to find they had free WiFi and even more surprised about the in-room fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There is a Market, a couple restaurants, and bars within walking distance. Bonus!!!

Oakridge helpful.

Pros: Quick service and comfortable.
Cons: Price is high. $80.00/Night one queen bed was requested. but he gave us some kiddie room with bunkbeds. We could not use. My son is too tall.
Location: Plenty of Galleries. We were there to visit so we didn't do much sight seeing. But the mountain views and valleys are beautiful riding up there!
Well I ended up putting the wrong address in my GPS. The address on Expedia had 780 "N" for North Ventura ave. But it is not NORTH. They might want to look at that. I had the number so I called. And at first it was toughy until I told the guy I was from Chicago. He then carefully and perfectly told me how to get there. We were very happy with the quick attention and able to get back on the road to our visits. Nice place for families. But a bit over priced.

Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: Conveniently located between Ojai & Ventura.
Room space ok, seemed clean. Deferred maintenance however. Wood split on doors, old door locks, signs of old repairs, with plywood filling, signs of bathtub repairs with no new paint, creaking floors, balcony sidewalks squeak with each step.

All concerns have been taken care of and fixed. We are currently in the process of replacing the entire 2nd floor Walkway/Deck. Scott Manager

Good Place to Stay on a Budget

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: Convenient location, good price.
We were in Ojai for a couple days - out and about. We didn't expect to be at the hotel much of the day so we didn't opt for a high-priced place. Oakridge Inn was reasonable, clean, and comfortable. Just what we needed.

Close to Ojai and Ventura, inexpensive motel

Posted Jan 29, 2015
70's floral pattern on the bedspreads brought a wave of nostalgia. Pizza place 2 doors down closes at 9 on Saturdays (Huh!) but Domino's delivers later than that. Staff accommodating, room superduper clean. Toilet was wobbly and shower controls took a little figuring out, but no problem. Will use this motel again.

very pleasing

best bang for the buck in the region. bed is comfortable, fridge, microwave is included. Ask a room with a sofa, if you like relaxing at night watching t.v. Wifi reception is very good. big bathroom, really big actually. older motel but clean. the guy that runs it comes across as gruff at first, but he is actually quite nice and helpful. I didnt have a printer with me to print off a tee time on golfnow, and he went through quite abit of trouble to redirect my email to get it printed. You need to find your own breakfast probably, as what is offered is light, i.e. coffee, danish, bagel with cheese, bannana. Actually that was enough for me. Yeah, best bargain in area; i really checked around.

Great value.

Pros: Price
Location: 5-6 miles from downturn Ojai.
Normal run of the mill motel, but for the price, it is a winner! Other hotel in Ojai were around twice the price and I could not see that some of then had a better standard.

Came here for a last minute NYE party in downtown Ojai. Price was VERY reasonable considering that any place that had a vacancy in the downtown area was $250 plus. I have driven by many times here, on my way to work. Scott, the front desk person was very welcoming, and gave me a late check out. The next morning, I called him at noon, stating that I just woke up (long night, and forgot to set my alarm). I told him I would be out in 30 min, he said "no problem". Stayed in 202, upstairs on the hwy 33 side. The traffic didn't bother me. Parking was easy. Wifi was great! Lobby was charming. Room was a queen, and it was HUGE! Bed was comfortable. Micro/fridge was a plus. Didn't go to the jacuzzi, or the breakfast. Checkout was a breeze. The decor in the room was nice. Seemed old school, like as of u were in a small town in the middle of nowhere, but well kept, w modern amenities. I would stay here again, in a second! !! Highly recommend. Transportation has the bus very close, to go to all the way to oxnard, or downtown Ojai. For the late night crowd, DUTCH the local transportation person is always accessible , for all size parties! Casa de lago is a good Mexican food place.
