“Superb, even if you don't golf.”
The Ojai Valley Inn and Spa is just superb. If you want the experience of luxury, excellent service and a truly beautiful setting, spend the money and go. Yes, it is expensive -- we paid $50 plus tip for breakfast for 2 -- but well worth it. We didn't golf or take advantage of the many spa services, we just chilled out and walked the grounds. We also explored Ojai which has an eclectic mix of galleries, stores and restaurants. Highly, highly recommended by a two travelers who can be hard to please. Next time we make our kids, and take advantage of all the activities available for young people.
“A hotel that met our needs”
We booked this resort hotel only a few hours before arriving. Check-in staff were helpful and selected a room with better views than the assigned room at booking. A great hideaway resort which is well maintained. Golf package is reasonable value & the hired clubs were excellent. No time in our schedule to explore local township. Easy drive to LAX - just less than two hours with moderate traffic conditions & a refuellling stop.
“Ojai Valley Inn & Spa”
Very nice. Resort is spread out so be prepared to walk or wait for the carts. Pet friendly too!
“Great place to stay in Ojai!”
My wife and I stayed here on our weekend visit to Ojai to celebrate our anniversary. Ojai itself definitely seems like it's a place to go to when you want to relax and not do a whole lot. We're not very outdoorsy, so that pretty much limits us to eating and shopping in the area. This hotel was the perfect place to stay for us, since it's a resort where there are a few more options. Great pool areas and spa! Terrific service. We had the "Vista" room which is one of the lower-end rooms. The room itself was great. Very spacious with a terrific patio. Our only complaint would be the bathroom which was pretty standard, nothing special at all. I guess if you're looking for more of a spacious, luxury bathroom, you have to flip for the higher-end rooms. Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel. When we're back in Ojai, we'll stay here again.
“A gem!”
This place rocks; historic, impeccable service, beautiful grounds and spectacular weather...what more could you want?
“Looking forward to a return visit”
We had a lovely stay at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. It is a beautiful and well maintained hotel. The service and all the people who worked there were really friendly and efficient. I had a wonderful and special treatment at the spa and all the pools were lovely. This is a wonderful place to relax.
“Wow!!”
This place is over the top fabulous. Beautiful setting, great food, meticulous attention to detail and great service. The only complaint I had is when they took my credit card for incidentals they swiped the card for $1,060.00 as a hold and I was not told that so when I got home I had three calls from the fraud division for my credit card, which I spent a couple hours of my time trying to get it cleared up. I think I should have been told that....
“Great weekend Getaway!”
This is my go to place for a quick getaway to rejuvenate and de-stress. I came with my husband this time to have some time together away from the kids. It is a fun place to go to with girlfriends or other moms who need to get relaxation and pampering. All the staff are great and very helpful. I love the classes, healthy food and the masseuses. The Leisure pool by the spa is a quiet place to just hang out. My trip this time was not perfect due to the heat and slow/inattentive service at the pool probably due to inexperience. I like coming in the spring time better because it is not as hot and you can hear the sounds of spring and see the beautiful flowers and their fragrances. The views are great!
“Ojai Valley Inn & Spa - A Slice of Heaven”
This resort is simply exquisite, and Ojai is one of the greatest towns on the planet!
“Unexpected Oasis . . . turned a one night stay into 3!”
On a recent driving trip down the California coast we came upon this beautiful resort on an Expedia search of the Santa Barbara area - we had spent a few nights in some not so nice places and my husband had had it and wanted a 5 star experience - and so we shot inland from our coastal drive with no expectation as to what we would find. This is a lovely resort, beautifully maintained and I would think if you are a golfer an absolute paradise. My only complaint is that if you get a room with two beds . . . they aren't King size so we were cozy. Restaurant choices are limited - but there is plenty in the small town of Ojai if you want to venture out (although don't expect to do a thing after 9PM - everything shutters up). We were so happy there that instead of staying the one night we had planned, we extended our stay to 3. Will come back and see if we can enjoy some of the surrounding area at some point.
