Budget Friendly

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Close to 101, easy commute to Santa Barbara attractions
Cons: Housekeeping
Location: Earl Warren Show Grounds
Stand alone property tucked off the freeway in a quiet area. Building and rooms are a little older but functional, and comfortable. The interior courtyard and pond area is pretty and relaxing, with fun ducks.

Great staff, Terrible Room

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Courteous Staff
Hopefully no reflexion on the staff themselves they were great. The rooms on the other hand were disappointing. Counter in the bathroom was very small, hardly any room to set things on. But the worst of all were the paper thin walls where anytime someone flushed, or showered we could hear it. It was a bit annoying.

It was fine. Enormously overpriced for what is offered in these minimal accommodations, but it was clean and it was surprisingly the cheapest thing available in the Santa Barbara area for the weekend.

Nice cozy hotel with friendly staff members.

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Booked last minute mini weekend getaway for 4th of July. Super pricey but everything was. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Hotel is older and needs a few updating but overall was very clean. Continental breakfast was decent. They do have a fitness center but it was closed because of the holiday which was strange luckily the weather was so nice running out doors turned out to be a lot more fun. There's a market up the road as well as a park... Overall two thumbs up for this older, yet cozy clean hotel :)

Affordable and nice

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: The patio, comfy bed, duck pond.
Cons: One of the patio chairs was broken.
Location: Right off the freeway, mid-way between UCSB and downtown Santa Barbara.
I stayed here with my 8 month old baby and husband for graduation weekend. My baby enjoyed the duck pond and the bath toy that was in our room. The hotel is safe, as you need a key to enter, and the room had a patio. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious enough for us to make a play area for our baby and use her play pen.

My go-to Goleta hotel.

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Affordability, location, the lagoon courtyard is awesome. Fresh-made waffles at breakfast, on request. Very accomodating staff.
Location: Ten minutes or less to UCSB and the airport, fifteen minutes to downtown. Across the street form In-N-Out burger (a big deal for the kids).
This hotel is perfectly situated between UCSB and downtown Santa Barbara. The lagoon courtyard is an oasis. The staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is plentiful and varied. Always a pot of fresh coffee in the lobby, a big plus for me (and frequently fresh-baked cookies!). The room is comfortable if basic, and the facilities are beginning to look a bit worn, but they were in the process of renovating several rooms during my last stay. Most important for me--the blankets are duvets wrapped in fresh sheets, so you KNOW they are clean.

Not quiet due to poor insulation. Staff great!

Posted May 30, 2015
Pros: It had nice grounds and the staff was very accommodating.
Cons: Insulation needs to be improved.
Location: You need a car to get around as it is a couple miles north of downtown and beach area.
Could hear guests talking in next room and when their shower was on, it sounded like a 747 Jet was flying directly over. Beds OK but not great! Free breakfast OK. Staff great though and trying to make things right for guests. Hotel is replacing outside windows. Hope they do something about the inside to make it more quiet as well. Close to freeway.
