Quaint Country Inn

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: We really liked the comfort of our room. From the size of the room and bathroom, to bed linens, and room amenities, they thought of it all
Cons: Service for breakfast was a bit slow, otherwise food was very good
Location: Lots of wineries in the area. Couple of restaurants and wine tasting rooms within a block of Inn. Cute towns within 10-25 minutes from Inn.
Absolutely loved the room we stayed in. Had all of the luxuries of a 5 star hotel, but intimacy and charm of a Bed and Breakfast hotel but with spacious guest rooms and bathrooms. We spent two nights at the Inn, took advantage one evening of the wine and appetizers, and also two breakfasts that were all served in the Parlor of Inn and all complimentary. On our second evening we enjoyed a bottle of wine from local winery that we had visited and cheese and crackers from the local cheese shop. This was especially nice as we were able to sit outside of our room on our patio that was right behind a fountain. So peaceful and relaxing, especially since no one else had the same idea. We were able to pick from several local restaurants and had nice dinners, all within walking distance. It was also very close to other wine touristy towns. Would highly recommend

My husband and I could not have selected a better location to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary. It was our first time there but plan on staying many more times in the future.

charming little hotel with excellent breakfast

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: breakfast, steam shower, daily wine tasting and dessert.
Cons: Hotel and Expedia should be on the same page of price when a room is booked to accommodate more than 2 people
Location: wine tasting, shopping and dining in Solvang, nice restaurant (SK kitchen) walking distance to hotel
We stayed 2 nights at the hotel, the hotel is very comfortable and we loved the breakfast, dessert at night, evening wine tasting and the best of all, steam shower and nice hot tub. I do have to mention one thing is that if you book with more than 2 people (include kids of all age) in a room with the # of people listed on the Expedia confirmation page and even with phone call to Expedia confirming the booking is for 3 or 4 people and the price is included , the hotel might still try to charged you extra for the additional people in the room. The hotel stated that Expedia didn't calculate the price correctly upon booking. They didn't end up charging us but it almost ruined our experience at the hotel. Anyway, other than that, the hotel is a perfect place to stay if you are in the region.

Pros: The rooms are clean and the fireplace was great.
Location: The location is great, there are shops and restaurants in walking distance.
Everything about the Santa Ynez Inn is first class. The hotel is so relaxing and the staff are so helpful. The library and dining room are great places to relax next to the fireplace. I look forward to my next visit.

Perfect Luxury

Pros: Everything. The bed was so fluffy and comfortable it was perfect.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Wine, wine and more more. The dining is also good. Also--visit Solvang.
The hotel was incredibly nice. It feels very old with lots of quaint touches, and yet all the technology was extremely up to date. You could stream music from the lobby into your room. There was a steam shower with controls. The bathroom was the same size as some apartments I have lived in. The staff was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. The breakfast that was served complimentary with the room was delicious. There are great sitting rooms to relax in after a day of wine tasting.

Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing
The rooms are wonderful and the staff at this hotel are excellent! We had a great time and will try to make this a yearly destination! Breakfast was very nice also. If you are looking for a beautiful place to relax - this is it! The spa services were also very good and we recommend you take advantage of a relaxing massage :-)
