Hotel is OK rooms are not.Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: Location, amenities
Cons: Room service, more respect for the
Location: Great places to visit. A lot of great little towns not far from the hotel. Solvang is a few minutes away.
Hotel in general is fine but rooms (at least the one I got) are below average. Not worth $159+ per night. Very noisy. We could hear people from surrounding rooms sneezing. Even if you put that privacy sign on your door you cannot sleep pass 8:15am or 8:30am. At that time service crew was banging on the neighboring doors making very big noise. Also they would start vacuuming hallway right in front of our doors. If somebody close a door just a little bit harder everything was shaking like smaller earthquake. Very very noisy place in the morning. Receptions and other people in that area are very nice and they were the better part of our experience.

Good stayPosted Apr 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
Service was great. Everybody had a smile and a nice thing to say. Easy check in and easier check out. Breakfast buffet over priced for the quality of food, but who goes there to eat when Solvang is down the street. A must place to eat is Marabells Inn in Solvang. Master chef Norbert is at the top of his game.

Decent hotel, nice clean rooms but a bit older. Front desk staff prompt and efficient. Did not use any of the hotel dining facilities

The hotel is just outside is Solvang tucked away in a good location. Although the freeway is in close proximity we didn't hear the traffic. Lots of activities to chose from in room spa service, tennis, basketball, pool, etc. pillow too bed was a little soft for us however we slept well Lots if wine tasting in the area. Good stay

Jesus is a jewelPosted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Only the restaurant manager, Jesus.
Cons: I don't think there is hope for this hotel!
Location: Visit Solvang. Visit Cachuma lake.
Our reservation was for a room with a king bed. They gave us a room with two full beds. We called to correct the error. The receptionist insisted that there was no preference stated in the reservation. That was not true. She then said she would call us back. She never did. We called back in 20 minutes and asked for a manager. Jesus, the restaurant manager, was the only one on duty. He personally came to our room to solve the issue. They were not able to give us the correct room; however, Jesus was very polite and helpful. The hotel does not look anything like what you think a Marriott should look like. It is old and ugly. A dog was barking in the next room all night long. Not recommended! Stay in one of the small hotels in the city. The hotel is not worth the money. The name Marriott should not be on this hotel.

Excellent hotel - Will stay here again!Posted Mar 16, 2014
Location: Loved the fact that the hotel is right next to a theater!!!! This was awesome!
Excellent hotel. Though I was a little surprised by the fact that they had no hotel map when I asked for one upon arrival. It was my first time there and we got in very late in the evening - wasn't sure exactly where to park to be near my room. The room was awesome! I asked for a first floor room as I was staying there for the Solvang Century bike Ride and didn't want to be taking my bike into and out of the elevator. Our room (#101) had a sliding back door which was right next to the entrance of the pool! PERFECT for my daughter who was ready to jump into the pool!! Although, a bit pricey, was worth it IMO, and we will be staying here again next year for the ride!!!
