Nice resort style hotel by the sea

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Beautifully situated by the sea, with easy access to main attractions of Santa Barbara. Pleasant staff, clean and well cared for facilities. Good room size. Resort/Conference/Event styling throughout. The only drawback for us was the unfortunate use of very heavily and seemingly industrial cleaning products throughout the guest rooms, corridors and elevators.

Excellent hotel steps from the beach

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Everything about this hotel was excellent. Staff was super friendly. It was steps from the beach and a very short walk to State Street. The morning breakfast was really good too! A really nice place to stay.

Honey Moon stay

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Location. Cleanliness.
Staff were nice, room and hotel was clean and well taken care of and location was good. ThoughI was kind of put off by a few things. 1. A bottle of water from the mini bar was $7 and most other things were very over priced. No beach rentals (chairs, etc..) available for the beach directly across from the hotel, $20 per night parking fee, no breakfast except for the onsite restaurants (not free). Most of all, what bothered me was the extra $15 fee for WiFi in our room. I understand hotels are in the money making business and you pay for nice views, but it still makes you feel like one big money grab instead of a hotel trying to give you a great experience at a fair price.

Good location near to beach

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: External lighting wasn't great when walking about after dark
Location: Opposite beach and within easy walking distance of restaurants
We only had brief overnight stay on our way down the coast. Would like to have stayed longer and got more use from the facilities

A few nights in Santa Barbara....

Posted Sep 26, 2014
Pros: The location and its relaxing atmosphere.
Cons: Free wifi in the bedrooms
Location: We walked down to town (3/4m) to eat out at night which could be lively or quiet by selection of venue. Reasonable prices seemed to be the norm. Beach
What a great stay! The hotel was very welcoming and the staff faultless. The guys on the doors were pleasant & talkative without being overbearing (important for us English). The reception area was very smart & neat. It was professionally run and was efficient. The rooms were large and comfortable although lacking slightly in lighting capacity. The pool area was very well maintained, again neat & tidy. Housemaids very pleasant as were the groundskeepers who all contributed to a nice environment and atmosphere. Parking easy and a good view of the railway for trainspotters which wasn't invasive. We walked down to town (3/4m) to eat out at night which could be lively or quiet by selection of venue. Reasonable prices seemed to be the norm.

Nice looking hotel.

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Room refrigerator was a block of ice, so it did not work. Air conditioning fan was noisy. Nice looking hotel, no continental breakfast, no microwave in the room and check in was slow. I pre-checked in at 3:30 and was told i would get a call when my room was ready, that never happened! For that money i expect better service.

Best Family Hotel

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Staff was so sweet everyone took good care of us.
Location: Hotel is right in front of the beach can't beat that!
Every Summer we plan a little weekend getaway for our little family. I always try to choose hotels were we can do everything walking distance we have a 2yr old it's too crazy to be going from place to place. We paid the valet fee because we knew we weren't going to be leaving until Sunday evening the valet guys were so helpful. When we checked in we were early but the sweet girl at the front desk was able to get us a room that was ready. I guess we got lucky cause we were in the "hilton rewards" area idk how the heck that happen the room was awesome! We were close to the pool which is were we spent most of our time. We had a light lunch at the bar lounge the view was amazing. In the evening we ordered room service and later had a surpise at the door the wedding party people we met downstairs sent us a bottle of champagne and milk and cookies for my son need less to say the weekend was super amazing. My husband and son had the coolest time playing at the beach and goofing around at the pool. We will def stay again!
