I have chosen this guest house because of nearby location to Pico de Areiro which is better to visit in early morning hours before the clouds form.
You can definitely expect quietness and plenty of shade in the garden. It's ideal if you want rest and do nothing silence.
There is also a parking space available, but I can imagine it can get crowded in full season.
Room was small but clean and there is a room service daily (apart from Sunday). Usually there was no one present at reception if you needed anything else. You also cannot count on getting breakfast or anything. There is kitchen with fridge available if you need to store something. However if you wanted to cook your own food you'd have to discuss it with someone, if they ever spoken English and were available. All you get is a telephone number.
Out of season I would try booking for minimum period first and then if you like extend on site which will be better value for money.
