“This place is great!!!”

I don't know what these other reviewers were talking about, this place was a steal! The owners are very sweet and have a great sense of humor. They are less than a block away from the Boardwalk, and even closer to the bowling alley. This is the only affordable place that is near the beach, and it is clean! Don't get me wrong, if you're Paris Hilton this may not be your ideal place, but for anyone who loves the spirit of Santa Cruz, this is the perfect inn to stay at!

“The little hidden Gem.”

The hotel was great! It is just hidden out of view. But once in the parking lot,I was over come by the whimsy and the way it's built on the hill. it over looked the Bordwalk, shopping and great view of the water. The people at the front desk were more than wellcoming.Check-in was quick and easy, and they made shure the room was comfortable enough. The price was great for the location-Walking distance to Everything! All in all the my stay at the Paradise Inn by The Sea, was above pare. I quite enjoied my stay. Highly recomended for the Economical Traveler

“Awesome hospitality”

The people who own this very tiny hotel gave awesome hospitality. They were very nice and treated their guests very well. The hotel is a little old fashioned, but it was very clean and the owners treated me very nicely.

“Easy walk to everything...”

The hotel is old, no doubt, but it was clean and had fresh paint. The staff was very nice and worked hard to maintain the hotel. They were knowledgeable about the area, and since it was within walking distance to Boardwalk and several excellent restaurants we never had to drive anywhere the whole time we were there. I had teens with me and they were able to be very independent. I would definitely stay there again.

“Paradise Inn, Santa Cruz, near the Beach, nicely renovated”

Paradise Inn by the Beach, Santa Cruz, CA, very near the Beach, nicely renovated. The Paradise Inn in Santa Cruz, California is nicely renovated and is quite clean. The Paradise is very close to the Beach, and has free parking! The Paradise has a dated appearance, and a rusting 1950s sign, but is quite clean inside. Very reasonable rates, great location. I will return to The Paradise.

“Only mildly disappointed”

Room was not cleaned until an hour and a half after our 3:00 arrival. It was fine after cleaning. Coffee was not available in office between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., as had been promised. Otherwise, the hotel was handy to beach and boardwalk, so that was great.

“Location”

If you want to be close to the Boardwalk and the beach this is among the best of the options. It was a typical motel style room which I had expected so no great surprise or disappointment upon arrival. The bowling alley next door has a few good pinball machines.
