nice new hotel

Posted Oct 23, 2014
Pros: Decor, cleanliness and staff.
Cons: Make the rooms darker, and less noise
Location: located in a great area with many stores and places to eat nearby. THe only thing i didnt like is that there is a pawn shop next to the hotel
The hotel was very nice, it looks new, is clean, and has nice decorations. The staff was really welcoming and friendly. Everything about the hotel was great, except when it came time to actually sleep. I was in Santa Fe for one reason, to take a big exam, the MCAT. I was planning to get a get great nights sleep since I had my test early in the morning. Unfortunately that was definitely not the case. I could hear everything in the room right next to mine and the one above. I called the front desk and they did ask the room next door if they could turn the tv down, which they did. I didnt mention the room upstarirs becuase I didnt want to be annoying, but I did ask if they had any advil, which they did not but they did have ibuprofen and the guy from the front desk brought me some. There was also too much light in the room for me to be able to sleep. Even though the curtains were fully closed light still came in through the edges and also light came in through the bottom of the door. Thankfully the breakfast was great.

Still a nice place to stay

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: The hotel was clean and safe. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to solve problems. Still a value in the pricey Santa Fe market.
Cons: A little updating to exterior and interior fixtures
Location: The hotel is close to all the shopping, dinning, and entertainment options Santa Fe offers.
This hotel still remains a clean, affordable hotel in the Santa Fe area. The rooms are well maintained and clean. The staff is knowledgeable and will share their dinning and attraction preferences. The complementary breakfasts are very good and change daily. The hotel, however, is starting to show its age and may need some updating. All in all, this Best Western Plus is an attractive option for business or family stays, especially as Santa Fe continues its pricey increases in lodging, food, and shopping.

It was decent. Halls and elevator were sketchy. Floors seemed dirty

Convenient location at a very reasonable price

Posted Oct 11, 2014
Pros: Liked the hotel lobby and the location.
Location: The location if perfect for seeing the Bandelier national Monument and for travel to both Taos and Albuquerque.
The hotel is conveniently located for access to the Old Town Plaza, the routes to both Taos and Albuquerque and to very good restaurant. The lobby is very nice. The breakfast room was separate from the lobby and the food good with the only drawback being that it is quite small for the number of guests served. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. It was perfect for a three night stay while we toured Santa Fe, traveled to the Bandelier Monument and up to Taos. Staff at the reception desk were very accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.

Clean and convenient

Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Clean and convenient to tourist attractions and Bluecorn Brewery. Price is very reasonable for what you get. It did not have that motel chain feeling
Cons: Really nothing. Maybe a newspaper in the lobby available in the am.
Location: 4 miles to the plaza. We liked the O'K and Indian Cultural museums and the Canyon art shops. We lucked out to be in Taos for the Taos Peublo festival.
Friendly staff. Never felt like the staff did not have the time to answer your questions.

Central

We only stayed one night but found this hotel was right on the main road and about half way between the main highway and Old Town.

Pros: Staff, cleanliness and room accommodations
Cons: Breakfast room seating and quality of coffee
Overall experience was quite good. The only negatives were in the breakfast room where (1) a very few massive wooden tables overly limited the number of people who could eat at any one time and (2) the coffee from a dispensing machine was very weak and tasted like it was made from powdered instant coffee.

Great Amenities at a Great Price

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: All of the above plus an indoor pool and jacuzzi.
Cons: Carpets in the hallways and room. I think that, at least on the 1st floor, they were worn and had a very slight odor.
Location: Santa Fe is fabulous. The Best Western is easy to access and only a few minutes from downtown.
Very good room with very comfortable bed, nice art work and fixtures (lamps, towell racks, etc). Pink Lemonade and ice water in the lobby, coffee, tea and juices available 24/7 and a great breakfast (hot and cold items including omeletes and Belgian waffles). Staff was excellent - friendly and accommodating!

overall a good stay

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: beds, shower, room d├ęcor, easy access , parking lot close to hotel
Cons: housekeeping can be a little more quiet and doors slam shut, carpet in elevator needs to be cleaned or replaced ..
Location: everything you need is near by , which is good and bad because if your close to the highway you hear the traffic on the busy road....
this hotel met my requirements , it had a nice santa fe style feel, the hotel colors were of a warm shades of brown which I thought gave it a cozy feel , although I read some felt it was too dark and drab .. the rooms were very clean and the shower had lots of water.....the night I stayed it was surprisingly quiet, although the when the air condition kicks in it is quite loud,( I could see how that effects light sleepers ) but for me it was ok as I need a humming or fan noise to sleep ..the bed was very comfy , they offer breakfast but I didn't get up early enough , so all was well except in the morning when I awoke to doors slamming , the doors slam shut soo loud im surprised that hasn't been addressed , and someone needs to talk to housekeeping , they are so noisy , banging walls and slamming doors and talking loudly , I think they can do a better job at keeping a little more quiet when cleaning....
