Great location downtownPosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Location and quality
Cons: The TV reception and choice of channels were the worst we had on our trip $3.50 for an in room bottle of water is a little ridiculous.
Location: The hotel is located downtown Santa Fe close to restaurants, shops and attradtions
Overall it was a positive experience with the exception of Expedia failing to mention that one site parking was valet only at a cost of $25/night plus(optional( gratuity.

Wonderful hotel and spa in the center of Sante FePosted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: The room was large, nicely equipped with a fridge. The king sized bed was incredibly comfortable. Hotel restaurant was great (pricey, but worth it).
Cons: Parking is extra, for the standard cost of the room I think it should have been included. However, with the rate we got on Expedia, it was affordable
Location: One block off the central plaza, with shops galore all around: art gallories, jewelery, antique shops, as well as art museums.
First, we obtained a fabulous froom rate via Expedia. The El Dorado is a lovely hotel / spa just a block off the central square of Sante Fe, with a beautiful ambiance and wonderful spa facilities. Perfect for a mother / daughter getaway weekend. After a busy day of shopping, we settled in for a comfortable evening starting with an incredible dinner at the hotel restaurant: 24 oz steak dinner for two. The wine selection was terrific. Dessert was chocolate mousse and creme brule accompanied by Naked Cowgirl Martinis (chocolate of course). After a wonderful night's sleep we went for massages, body wraps and facials, followed by a steam bath. The staff was courteous, the facilities were spotless. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer and explore the rooftop pool and hot tub.

Perfect getawayPosted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: The staff members are always very nice!
Location: There are museums, restaurants and cafe. The historic plaza is just a few blocks away so, its a perfect location!
This is the third or fourth time we stay at El Dorado. The location is perfect all the staff members are so nice to everyone! The rooms are spacious. The only downside this time is that we booked a fireplace bedroom, but due to the wind conditions we were able to use it just one day (out of three we stayed). So I recommend you to check first if you want a fireplace bedroom, first check the wind conditions because you wont be able to use it if there is a windy forecast.

Downtown Santa FePosted Mar 15, 2014
We booked a room with 2 beds, but got a king, so the kids had to camp out. Liked the balcony. Valet parking was spendy. Location is good.

Heart of Santa Fe HotelPosted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, room size and amenities.
Cons: Screen pets of guests as the room across the hall had a barking dog.
Location: The location is three block from the Plaza, New Mexico Museum of Art, O'Keefe Museum and all the tourist locations of note
Greeted with courtesy and helpfulness. Large standard room with good bed and bath linens.

Wood Smoke smell in the room, bad showerPosted Feb 16, 2014
Pros: View from the balcony. That's it.
Cons: Don't really know. Just is not comfortable.
Not a 5-star experience. Should have gone to Holiday Inn Express - cheaper, easier, more accessible and better overall.
