Nice Southwest stylePosted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: Rooms had Southwest style.
Cons: More parking spaces would be helpful so that Valet parking was not necessary
A good Southwest style twist on a typical Hilton hotel. Don't have to be there for the casino to enjoy it.

Nice for the pricePosted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: Rooms are very nice and spacious. There are no resort fees, and parking is free, unless you valet.
Cons: On weekends, parking is very hard to find due to the casino. I would have loved a balcony or fireplace, or a more inviting lobby with fireplace.
Location: Location is outside of town. It is perfect if you are going wine tasting, to Taos or need to be in Los Alamos. Otherwise, I would stay in town.
The hotel was nice enough, especially considering the price for a 4* property, and against other hotels in Downtown Santa Fe. The room was very spacious, we had a junior suite, yet we did not get a balcony, or a fireplace, which I was hoping and looking forward to. The staff seemed a little disinterested, and finding the valet was nearly impossible when you wanted your car. The hotel is outside of Santa Fe proper, so if you are looking to walk to restaurants and shops, this is not the hotel for you. If you are on your way to Taos, Los Alamos or some of the wineries in this area, this is a good location.

Great Hotel… Disappointed in the resort portionPosted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: Comfort. Clean. Quality.
Cons: Better communication from Staff and keep spa open if hot tub is out. I book hotels with hot tubs to relax at night.
Location: It was an easy 15 min drive north of Santa Fe
The hotel overall was fantastic! The details in its design are great! The room was a good size with a large bathroom. The shower had great water pressure and high temp. The workout room was very nice. The resort area was the disappointment. Since it was winter, the outside was closed. The indoor "heated pool" according to the staff is still cooler than room temp. The hot tub was closed the entire week we were there. We were instructed by the staff that we could use the spa hot tub/sauna. Each night before trying to go down to use it, we called the front desk to verify we could and that the spa was open. When we got to the spa (at different times) it was closed every time but once, the last time the spa staff said we could not use it (our last night). I did not have the chance to report it and no one at check out seemed to care. What is the point of staying at a resort style hotel if there is not a pool/spa available. So overall, great. But very disappointed in the relaxation portion of the trip.

Beautiful resort outside of downtown Santa Fe.Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: I particularly liked the decor, and the variety of dining options available. The spa is also beautiful and very tranquil.
Cons: The only thing I had issue with was that I often got a voicemail when I called the front desk, spa and for room service.
Location: The hotel is 20 minutes from downtown Santa Fe. There is a golf course onsite.
First of all, the decor of the rooms and common areas is beautiful. There is lots of local art on display and the rooms reflect a Native American style. I stayed in both an executive suite which included a living area, balcony and 2 showers in the bathroom (stall and 1 with tub), and in a standard room when my flight was cancelled. Both rooms were great. I also enjoyed a massage at the spa, used the fitness center (good size and ample equipment) and had meals at Mica and Red Sage. There is also a casino, wine bar, and dance club. Although the resort is a 20 minute drive from downtown Santa Fe, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Superb extended stay after a long tripPosted Nov 8, 2014
Cons: during our week day stay (mon-fri) the location of breakfast was confused - for the staff and us. Better signage would be helpful....
Location: Santa Fe NM is a very attractive and welcoming location to visit. Pueblo Taos and Doc Martins restaurant were very fun. turquoise trail great
From arrival to departure, the staff never skipped a beat. Front Desk checkin was quick and seamless. Concierge outstanding. Free shuttle to/from downtown Santa Fe was a very nice treat. Rooms are superb, spa treatment hit the mark. Superb visit, highly recommended

Nice... criminal/gang member arrested therePosted Oct 23, 2014
Pros: Clean.. comfortable.
Cons: Safety. Lower prices in restaurants.
Location: Nothing to do, unless you are a gambler.
Nice hotel. Rooms are priced right. Clean. Apparent gang member arrested in the lobby. Not a nice scene for our family. Doubt that we would go back there. Shops in hotel are outrageously high priced. Restaurants are extremely high priced. Had to drive 20-30 miles to find reasonable restaurant. Most hotels offer a complimentary breakfast... not this one.

Nice property, very kid friendly. However, the front desk employees are rude and will welcome you with "name?!!!" Instead of "welcome to buffalo thunder". I was very surprised by the way she talked to me. I felt like I was bothering her by checking in.
